Paulus, Saints ranked 2nd (worst)
Paulus in his CBA days
It would appear that Greg Paulus failed to make a fan out of NBCsports.com scribe Mike Florio.  The New Orleans Saints are ranked second worst in the NFL when it comes to backup quarterbacks, at least according to Florio's latest post.
"Mark Brunell became a free agent, and he reportedly plans to sign with the Jets in late July. And the backups currently are Chase Daniel, who has never played in a regular-season game, and Sean Canfield.
But they may have a secret weapon in former Duke basketball player Greg Paulus."
Oh, hold on here.  It sounds like Florio's actually pumping some air into Paulus' tires.  He clearly recognizes that Greg was hindered by a sieve of an offensive line and is capable of managing a game when supplied the proper protection.

"In other words, if Drew Brees goes down, it's pretty much over for the Saints."

Damn your sarcasm, Florio!

In a slightly related note, I thought I would share this quote from respected actor Pierce Brosnan:

"I grew up being taught by the Christian brothers, who were dreadful, dreadful human beings. Just the whole hypocrisy. And the cruelness of their ways toward children. They were very sexually repressed. Bitter. Cowards, really. I have nothing good to say about them and will have nothing good to say about them. It was ugly. Very ugly. Dreadful. I learnt nothing from the Christian brothers--except shame."
