The Knicks are in a similar situation with most other teams. A free agent exits their meeting and then they tell the media how persuaded they are. Deep inside, the free agents may not be that exited about a team.

That is why the Knicks have unraveled their No. 2 plan to make hit big in the NBA Free-Agent market. This is all on LeBron James. If he signs, the Knicks may not need to got to this plan.

The way I see it, many people believe that their Plan B is stronger than their Plan A with LeBron.

Plan A - LeBron James and Chris Bosh

The Knicks are hoping to probably win big and sign Chris Bosh and LeBron James this offseason. If not Bosh, then other options like Amare Stoudemire. The Knicks have made interesting pitches to both on the past few days.

They are hoping that when the two players are in that New York State of Mind, they can come to their senses and sign with New York's team.

If they do and they win a championship within three years, Madison Square Garden may have a statue of the two erected in front of the building.

Plan B - Jayshawn Augusto

The Knicks may need Jayshawn Augusto to be a powerhouse offensively. Augusto looks like he can score from just about anywhere on the court. He is used to taking on older players in games, so taking on someone like Yao Ming will not be any problem for him. He's 11 and the competition is older. Jayshawn will simply shrug that off.

Augusto = At Least 30 Points a Game

Augusto will be an offensive machine. The Knicks have the opportunity to sign him due to the fact that he is under the radar and there have been reports that he went to Europe for a bit.

He would be available and open to signing with any team. Ricky Rubio was benched in Spain when Agusto played a bit with the team. Stadiums were filled to see Augusto, but his mother would ask the coach to take her son out by 9:30. By that point he had already accumulated an average of 22.3 points.

Jayshawn Defense = Easy Steals

The Knicks may want to also take advantage of the steals that this kids can get. Imagine someone like Chris Paul dribbling up the court and all of a sudden, Augusto comes from in between his legs and steals the ball. This could happen over and over again.

Injury Worries

Jayshawn has no injury worries as of now. The only thing that the Knicks may have to worry about is possibly having the kid stepped on by someone like Shaq. The kid has to be swift when it comes to taking a charge from players. He could go flying, but anyone can catch him and put him down safely. The Knicks are going to look for some tough Knicks City Dancers to ensure JayShaun's safety.

Augusto The Newest Knick

BREAKING NEWS AS OF 7/3/10 10:39 AM: Stephen A. Smith has announced that the Knicks are closing in on a max contract deal for five years.

The kid runs a 4:50 mile as an eight year old and has the stamina to run around the court for hours. Like the energizer bunny, he keeps gong and going! The kid is a monster at basketball and is dedicated to getting better.

Bleacher Report Wishes the best of luck to Jayshawn on his future endeavors!
