The 2008-2009 NBA season will sure be an exciting one.

With Elton Brand, Baron Davis, Corey Maggette, and possibly Stephon Marbury leaving their former team for a new team, Los Angeles, Golden State, Philadelphia, and many other teams will hope that they will land the trophy this year.

One of those teams has to be Philadelphia. They have the best forward trio in the league, with Andre Iguodala, Elton Brand, and starting center Samuel Dalembert. Andre Miller will start at point guard, and if Louis Williams stays he will probably start at SG, which will give them a high chance to be a title contender.

Golden State lost Baron Davis, but Corey Maggette will fill that spot in the Warrior's version of the Big Three, while Marcus Williams will give them a nice backup or starting point guard.

The addition of James Posey will give New Orleans a good backup small forward, who will get playing time when Peja Stojakovic is on the bench. Olympic point guard Chris Paul and Olympic forward Tyson Chandler, along with forward David West, could lead the Hornets to a championship.

Improved teams are Philadelphia, Golden State (who also signed Ronny Turiaf, who ranked 22nd in blocked shots), and New Orleans. My championship pick is New Orleans over Philadelphia in six games

Philly is not any better with Elton Brand and they definetly are not a title contender

The Warriors have a version of the Big Three? Well Its been recalled this team will go no where with out Baron Davis. He carried that team.

The only team covered in this article worth talking about is NO who you will will most likely see in the finals next year. I think picking up Posey was great -

    Bailey,

A little premature on the article. Many things will occur before the start of the season. Heck the Sixers haven't even officially resigned Iggy and Lou yet.

I'd look for Cleveland to make some sort of move in the next month.

    Casey -

Are you writing from your Mom and Dad's basement?

Ask them to buck up for the NBA pass and start watching the sixers. You're seriously misinformed if you think Brand doesn't make them better.

That is a good lineup, but Louis Williams in not backing up at the 1 and Andre Igoudala plays the 3.
