June's Key Fights:
Ben Rothwell vs. Gilbert Yvel
The fight started fairly quick, with Rothwell scoring an early takedown, but that was about all the aggressive action that this fight saw.
Both Rothwell and Yvel gassed in the first round, which led to slow punches, sloppy takedowns, and poor transitions for the remaining two rounds.
Rothwell's takedowns were enough to earn him his first UFC win in an uneventful fight.
Pat Barry vs. Mirko Filipovic
After being clipped twice in the first round, Mirko "Cro Cop" stayed composed and eventually began working his famed kicks into his attack.
As the fight went on, Cro Cop was getting the better of the stand-up exchanges and rocked Barry soon thereafter in the third round, sending him crumbling to the mat.
After Barry was down and trying to recover, Cro Cop surprised many fans by securing a rear-naked choke to win the fight by submission with only 30 seconds left in the fight.
