2010 World Cup: South America vs. Europe—Picking the All-Star Teams

South American teams outnumber Europe’s in a World Cup quarterfinal line-up for the first time in living memory.

The Western Hemisphere continent has four representatives in the last eight, while the old World only contributes three teams.

So it seems like a good time to pick two all-star teams from each continent and decide which fantasy 11 would win.

To even up matters, the European team can include players from the eighth quarterfinal team, Ghana.

The only rule is that each nation has to contribute at least one player to the continental all-star team.

South America vs. Europe (and Ghana). Let’s the games begin.
