Remember back in 2006 when the Twins were struggling and needed that big move that would possibly spark the team? The Twins didn’t have high hopes that year, but they weren’t about to give up on the season that wasn’t even half over.
I keep having flashbacks to that season, this 2008 season just seems so much the same. The Twins didn’t have high hopes, but have played well most of the way. There are some major differences in how the clubs have performed, but one thing is the same, the Twins again need that big move.
In 2006 it was Francisco Liriano being moved from the bullpen to the rotation. In 2008 it needs to be Francisco Liriano moving from Rochester to Minnesota. The Twins need some sort of spark if they want to get to the postseason, and if it isn’t going to come from a trade, they can at least attempt to do it within the organization.
