Kevin Harvick Leads Thursday Nationwide Practice At Daytona

Kevin Harvick was fastest in a Thursday practice for the Nascar Nationwide Series Subway Jalapeno 250 that occurs this Friday night at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach.

Harvick, in the No. 33 Rheem Chevrolet COT, set the fastest time at a 48.006 at 187.477 mph ahead of Brendan Gaughan in the No. 62 Toyota and Dale Earnhardt Jr in the No. 3 Wrangler Chevrolet in third.

This is the first race for the new COT car after a long practice test session on Wednesday.

Clint Bowyer, Steven Wallace and Reed Sorenson were all involved in a crash in the tri oval after a weight bias or otherwise known as lead came out of Mark Green's race car and the drivers hit the peice going into the tri oval.

Nascar Nationwide Series Final practice is set for 5:30pm ET on ESPN2 Thursday.
