After 56 grueling matches, we finally have our final eight sides in the 2010 FIFA World Cup as they will meet each other on Friday, July 2 and Saturday, July 3 to decide who will be going onto the World Cup semifinal.
Those final eight sides are as followed: Uruguay, Ghana, Argentina, Germany, Netherlands, Brazil, Paraguay, and Spain.
And with this in mind, here is a Look at the Final Eight Sides Chances of Winning the World Cup.
Uruguay
Quarterfinal Opponent: Ghana
Quarterfinal Match at: Soccer City (Johannesburg) on July 3.
Group Result: First in Group A
Round of 16 Result: Beat South Korea 2-1 at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium (Port Elizabeth).
Key Players: Luis Suarez, Diego Forlan, and Diego Lugano.
What they need to do to advance: Uruguay has been an extremely consistent side so far, so they will need to continue to play solid football.
After that, Luis Suarez and Diego Forlan have to continue their great play with each other as both have been a deadly duo so far in this World Cup.
Also, Uruguay will need to keep up their great defensive effort (which has only allowed one goal so far).
Ghana
Quarterfinal Opponent: Uruguay
Quarterfinal Match at: Soccer City (Johannesburg) on July 3.
Group Result: Second in Group D
Round of 16 Result: Beat United States 2-1 in extra time at Royal Bafokeng Stadium (Rustenburg).
Key Players: Richard Kingson, Asamoah Gyan, Kevin-Prince Boateng.
What they need to do to advance: Ghana has been extremely sound defensively with Richard Kingson being incredible in the goal, so Ghana will need to keep that up.
Also, with the hopes of an entire continent on their shoulder's, Ghana will have the inspiration to do well here in South Africa.
And finally, Ghana will need to make sure that they keep on scoring timely goals.
Argentina
Quarterfinal Opponent: Germany
Quarterfinal Match at: Cape Town Stadium (Cape Town) on July 3.
Group Result: First in Group B
Round of 16 Result: Beat Mexico 3-1 at Soccer City (Johannesburg).
Key Players: Lionel Messi, Gonzalo Higuain, Carlos Tevez.
What they need to do to advance: Argentina has been great offensively, and that great offense will need to continue to play well as they look to reach the semifinals.
Diego Maradona has to continue his great job as Argentina's manager, as very few people thought that Maradona's side would dominate the way that they have so far.
And of course, the defense needs to be sharp and cannot give away cheap goals to anyone.
Germany
Quarterfinal Opponent: Argentina
Quarterfinal Match at Cape Town Stadium (Cape Town) on July 3.
Group Result: First in Group D
Round of 16 Result: Beat England 4-1 at Free State Stadium (Bloemfontein).
Key Players: Mesut Ozil, Miroslav Klose, and Philip Lahm.
What they need to do to advance: Germany has had an extremely explosive offense so far in this World Cup, so that must continue to take shape.
After that, Germany cannot lose all hope after they concede a goal (which nearly happened against England).
But most importantly, it will now be up to the young players such as Ozil and Muller to step up their play and be the best that they can be.
Netherlands
Quarterfinal Opponent: Brazil
Quarterfinal Match at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium (Port Elizabeth) on July 2.
Group Result: First in Group E
Round of 16 Result: Beat Slovakia 2-1 at Moses Mabhida Stadium (Durban).
Key Players: Wesley Sneijder, Robin van Persie, and Arjen Robben.
What they need to do to advance: The Dutch need to keep up their great offensive effort and continue to bury their chances.
After that, the Dutch defense was vulnerable against Slovakia in the second half and they need to start closing up it against Brazil or they will lose.
And, the Dutch will need to keep their cool after the supposed row between Robin van Persie and Bert van Marwijk after the last match for the Dutch against Slovakia.
Brazil
Quarterfinal Opponent: Netherlands
Quarterfinal Match at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium (Port Elizabeth) on July 2.
Group Result: First in Group G
Round of 16 Result: Beat Chile 3-0 at Ellis Park Stadium (Johannesburg).
Key Players: Lucio, Julio Cesar, and Kaka.
What they need to do to advance: For Brazil, they first will need to keep up their strong defensive mindset together in order to beat the Dutch.
And with that defensive mindset, Brazil must use the counterattack to perfection in this match, similarily to how they destroyed Chile.
And finally, Kaka has to get involved more, as his presense will be a major deciding factor in how far Brazil goes.
Paraguay
Quarterfinal Opponent: Spain
Quarterfinal Match at: Ellis Park Stadium (Johannesburg).
Group Result: First in Group F
Round of 16 Result: Tied Japan 0-0 (Won 5-3 on penalties) at Loftus Versfeld Stadium (Pretoria).
Key Players: Roque Santa Cruz, Cristian Riveros, and Justo Villar.
What they need to do to advance: Paraguay has been extremely sound defensively, so that must continue for starters.
After that, Paraguay will also need to rely off of their counterattack, especially against a side such as Spain who will hold the football for most of the match.
And finally, Paraguay must limit Spain's possession as much as possible in their next match.
Spain
Quarterfinal Opponent: Paraguay
Quarterfinal Match at: Ellis Park Stadium (Johannesburg).
Group Result: First in Group H
Round of 16 Result: Beat Portugal 1-0 at Cape Town Stadium (Cape Town).
Key Players: David Villa, Xavi, and Iker Casillas.
What they need to do to advance: Spain must start off by holding the ball as much as possible and be sure to limit Paraguay's time of possession.
After that, Spain must be able to start burying their chances much better. Scoring five goals in four matches is extremely low for Spain, and now is the time to turn that around.
And finally, Spain must be sure that their defense does not create any major holes as that will allow Paraguay to get a goal that they might not deserve.
