Though some dismissed the likelihood of Hulk Hogan putting Abyss over, it looks like Abyss could be Hogan's first headline creation in TNA.
Hogan is now pushing for Abyss to beat RVD at Victory Road for the TNA Championship, leading to Hogan vs. Abyss at Bound For Glory.
As I explained before, Abyss is a perfect fit for a top TNA attraction, as he is home grown, sold in the ring and has the look of a genuine mainstream monster attraction.
The one worry could be that Hogan wants to build Abyss up simply so he can beat him for the Title at TNA's biggest event.
I hope to hell that doesn't happen as the image of an ageing Hogan with the promotion's top Title would damage TNA's image as a young, hungry upstart promotion.
Can Hulk Hogan do what no one has really done before him and establish a credible home grown TNA talent that isn't AJ Styles? If he intends to, Hogan needs to follow through and have Abyss run through the roster - as well as himself.
