With two days left on the free agent clock, New York is trying to make a last minute push for LeBron James to play for the Knicks. There have been Broadway show roles thrown at him, and offers of homes and thousands of acres of land. Vans are parked in Times Square with people packing things to give to the King.
Now, one of the wealthiest families in New York has jumped aboard the LeBron Bandwagon. Here come the Trumps! The Trumps have joined other celebrities like Matt Lauer, Michael Bloomberg, John McEnroe, etc. as they push to try and make LeBron King of New York.
People to the King
Meals are named after him, and children are being born in New York with the name "LeBron." Stores are being renamed so that the King can come to the best city on Earth, New York City.
The point is that everyone in New York wants to see the Knicks start selling orange and blue jerseys with the name "James" on the back and the No. 6.
Michael Bloomberg
Here is the Mayor of New York launching the campaign to Bring LeBron James to New York and Madison Square Garden. Notice the subliminal messaging with the official sign in between pictures and frames.
Matt Lauer
The Today Show host is among the many reporters and people in the media willing to let LeBron James come to their show at any time. Broadway shows have already asked for LeBron to come for a ride. I'm telling you, it must have been the Sprite commercials and the LeBron puppets.
The Trumps
The Trumps were not so quick to start calling for LeBron James. They waited a bit, but now they are on top of their game and are seeking the King to lead them to the promised land. Their recruiting video features Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump.
Who wouldn't want to be recruited by Ivanka Trump?

John McEnroe
Recently, John McEnroe has also joined the campaign. He is offering LeBron James free classes at his academy. McEnroe is a devout New Yorker, so he is among the many that want to see his team succeed, whether it is the Yankees or the Knicks.
Just Do It! July 1st!
LeBron, you have a contract with Nike so you must be familiar with the phrase, "Just Do It!" Do it for the fans! New York is the place where you can become King of the World.
You may say, "In your dreams," but New York is the place where your wildest dreams come true!
With that said, (in desperate Michael Bloomberg voice), "C'mon LeBron!"
