Chris Johnson Is A Disgrace

Chris MorelandContributor IJune 27, 2010

That's right, I said it. He is an absolute abomination to the league. No one in their right mind should pay him the kind of money he's getting right now. He's an absolute disgrace to his pay bracket.

Starters, on average, earn over $2 million a year. CJ is set to earn his meager $550,000. It's ridiculous, honestly. The Titans should pay the man handsomely, but they won't. The Titans should try their best to keep their record-setting, Pro Bowler, off-the-charts-amazing running back as happy as they possibly can.

They shouldn't pay him thirty to $40 million, but they should give the man at least median salary of the top backs in the league, maybe matching the franchise tag value which is $6.53M.

The Titans tend to disappoint when it's time to put money on the table, but they should buy in to the old saying, "A happy employee is a productive employee."
