10 Future Main Event Players / World Champions
This is my second slide show here on bleacher report and i have decided to name my top ten future main eventers/ world champions.
At the momment the WWE seem to be on a mission to push new young stars due to the fact that a lot of veterans time is either up or they only have a few years left.
This has resulted in a few young talent being thrown in to the main event a lot quicker than they should have i.e Sheumus and Jack Swagger.
We have also seen guys like The Miz, Kofi Kingston, Drew Mcintyre and Wade Barret receive big pushes to prepare them to take the reigns when the current main eventers leave the WWE.
So lets get started.
10. Kofi Kingston
Now i'm sure this comes as no surprise to you that Kofi is on the list due to the fact i mentioned him in the intro but he is a sure future main eventer.
Last year kofi got the biggest push of his career when he was thrown into a high profile feud with Randy Orton and i was very impressed with him during this. Also reports have said that Kofi's push was delayed to because of the fact Orton said he wasn't ready to main event yet.
And even though Orton seems like a bit of a d**k for doing this i actualy think that it has been a good thing. It has gIven Kofi more time to develope so he's ready for the move up the ladder.
I expect with Kofi now on the blue brand to get a massive push and probably capture a couple more intercontenental championships and then be thrown into the main event.
9. Wade Barrett
Next is NXT winner Wade Barret. This man realy has it all to make it as a main eventer. With good looks, great mic skills and being pretty good in the ring. Wade Barret could go onto become one of the biggest stars in the company.
Also with Wade guaranteed a championship match of his choice and also being apart of the hottest storyline in professional wrestling at the moment it looks as if the only way is up for Barrett.
This Championship match could end up being for either one of the world titles which would propel him into the main event sooner rather than later.
8. John Morrison
My third Choice is none other than the Monday night delight - John Morrison. Putting Morrison in was tough because it seems as if he is never going to be world champion.
Morrison has been with the WWE for 6 years now and is yet to win a world title and this makes me wonder if the WWE even has plans to push morrison into the main event.
After recieving his first world title match last year against Jeff Hardy it seemed as if the only way was up for him but sadly that was not the case. He has been lost in the pile since late of last year and hasn't received any sign of a push.
But still i think Morrison has all the makings of a future main eventer/world champion and thats why he goes onto my list.
7. Cody Rhodes
From being the son of the legendary Dusty Rhodes to being in Legacy, Cody Rhodes is a without a doubt a future main eventer and world champion. A lot of people seem to prefer his former tag team partner Ted Dibiase and feel dibiase has beter in ring skills but this is just no the case.
And if you take a look at his match with Christain you will see how good Rhodes is in the ring. And also Cody in my opinion is beter on the mic than Dibiase.
6. Drew Mcintyre
Is there any real doubt that "The Chosen One" Drew Mcintyre will be a main eventer and future world champion. Having already recieved two intercontental titles and slowly but surely starting to get over with the crowd. I would expect Drew to win the world title by the end of the year.
The fact that he is well liked by management and Triple H he is destined to be a future main eventer.
5. Tyson Kidd
Well even though this guy maybe small he is a great talent and is one of the best young technical wrestlers in the WWE today. And is far better in the ring than his tag team partner. Even Brett Hart said everything he touches in the ring turns to gold and i think he could be putting on great matches at wrestlemania in the future.
4. Ted Dibiase
This is the man i would expect to become the biggest heel in the company in the future. Dibiase's look and in ring skills and the fact that the WWE is very high on him shows that he is destined for world titles.
3. Evan Bourne
Having already received a big push as of late with the feud with Jericho and Getting a pin over Sheamus a few weeks ago i'm sure he is destined to be a future main eventer.
He is one of the greatest up and coiming talents in the wrestling world today and can put on a great match. Bourne for me will be the replacement fo Rey Mysterio as they share a lot of similarities.
Maybe even a feud between the two before Mysterio leaves with Bourne coming out on top so he is put over as his replacement.
2. Dolph Ziggler
Even though he has yet to win a WWE title of any kind yet he is still set to become a future main eventer.
And with his recent partnership with Vicky Guerrero he should be set to win a few Intercontinental championships and then move onto challenging for a world title.
1. The Miz
Was there any doubt that The Miz was not going to be on here?. This man has it all from great mic skills to having his own catchphrase to make it as a future main eventer/world champion.
He is at this time the top mid carder in the WWE and is determined to make it. He works hard and is probably the most ready to take the step up to the main event. He reminds me a lot of John Cena and this is who could be the next face of the WWE.
He was a man expected to faid away and not be used much when he was first drafted to raw but down to his hard work and determination he has become one of the biggest young stars in the company.
And it has paid off as he has become the only man to hold the U.S title and unified tag titles at the same time.
And i would expect The Miz to be in the main event by the end of 2010.
