The Dallas Cowboys Say "So Long" to Terry Glenn

After waiting for as long as they could, the Dallas Cowboys were forced to come to a decision that wasn't so easy to make, but felt was vital to the next step of the Boys 2008 Super Bowl run. So, Terry Glenn was released from the Dallas Cowboys, but it leaves many wondering, "now what?"

Back in April, when Dallas had the chance to take a wide receiver, Dallas passed on them all and felt none of them were worth, either first or second round money. Heck, not even worth fifth or sixth round money

So, Dallas, now with the departure of Glenn are left with a void at the number two spot and not one receiver on the team worthy of taking over...

Decisions..decisions. Jerry, who are you going to get to replace Glenn? The only option is to try and trade for a WR and hope someone is willing to bite on the offer, if not, you stand to go in  to the 2008 with one less receiver on your roster with just a hope and a prayer that Terrell Owens will be healthy enough to last the entire year

I think Patrick Crayton can easily fill the void, did you even see a single Cowboy game last year? Terry was out the whole season and dallas still had one of the top passing teams in the league.

Sam Hurd can come in as a promising #3, with Miles Austin waiting to get his chance. The Cowboys are set a WR, it just may take some time. Maybe if they wouldn't have made a stupid trade to get Packman, even though they have a shutdown corner in Newman, they could get out of this seasons hole at WR, if Wade Phillips thinks Crayton can't produce.

You also have to think about Witten. He lead the team last year in catches and is atleast a top three TE in the league. I see no problem with Terry leaving, yes he could've helped, but the loss won't hurt too badly.

I agree, I am a huge Crayton supporter and although I am very sad to see Glenn go (as an Ohio State student I have a special place in my heart for anyone playing out of the school esp. if on the cowboys) I am really excited at the prospect of Crayton getting more time on the field. I'm looking forward to the season!

Sorry to see him go, he played well in Dallas but she is soft. He was always banged up and after making $5 million for 2 catches, I dont think it was strange for Jerry to want some insurance. He will see when he does not get another offer.

It is a shame b/c he was a perfect compliment for TO, but one of the young WR needs to step up
