Ravens Could Trade Troy Smith

Bryan BrackneyAnalyst IJune 24, 2010
Jamison Hensley of the Baltimore sun is reporting that the Baltimore Ravens could trade backup quarterback Troy Smith. The addition of Marc Bulger means either Smith or John Beck will be axed.
Hensley reports that the Ravens probably can't get more than a sixth round pick in exchange for Smith. Hensley also reports that the likely solution is releasing Beck, but he doubts Smith will be happy as the third quarterback.
I would not rule out the possibility of the Ravens keeping four quarterbacks, but it would only happen if Smith would be fine with a role as a third quarterback.
