The NBA Draft is an evening where dreams come true.
It never fails to have great emotional, funny, and interesting moments. We all find out new things about prospects on this evening. For example, Craig Brackins is apparently a great skateboarder.
Here is a list of five great moments from the evening.
David Stern's Little Comments and Mannerisms
It's hard to get on stage and act completely normal when fans are booing you for the entire night. While Stern did the best that he could do, he did manage to have some interesting moments.
After John Wall was picked, you could hear Stern say, "Well that was a surprise." Is that really how you want to leave a first impression on the future of the NBA?
Before Kevin Seraphin was drafted, Stern said to the crowd, "Listen to this." It was an obnoxious comment since he was making fun of the pronunciation of Seraphin's name. It was a little unprofessional.
In my opinion, the funniest moment was before Landry Fields was drafted. Stern paused awkwardly and just stared at the crowd.
One can only wonder what was going through his mind.
NBA Draft Takes Over Twitter
Knowing how many people use twitter, it's pretty amazing that nearly everyone on it was talking about the NBA Draft. There were even guys who weren't in the draft, such as Rasheed Wallace, on the trending topics list.
The best trending topic of the night had to have been Kwame Brown.
After highlights were shown of Brown, since he was a Wizards first pick ten years ago, Twitter exploded with jokes.
Wesley Johnson's Pants and Al-Farouq Aminu's Glasses
Every year, there some interesting outfits worn to the NBA Draft. For example, in 2007, Joakim Noah rocked his crazy white suit and wore his hair out.
This year, there were not any outrageous outfits, but there were some funny pieces of clothing and accessories.
Al-Farouq Aminu had his MC Hammer glasses and Wesley Johnson had his plaid pants.
Aside from that, the class of 2010 was a classy one.
Sexy Silver
The crowd at Madison Square Garden is always notorious for their classiness. They were constantly booing David Stern and starting up Jeff Van Gundy chants.
The best chant of the night had to be when Adam Silver, the NBA Deputy Commissioner, stepped on stage and the fans started chanting, "Sexy Silver."
It was easily the funniest part of the night.
Knicks Fans Get Disappointed, Yet Again
It was bound to happen. With the New York Knicks focusing on the July first, it seemed as though they weren't taking the draft seriously.
With guys like Lance Stephenson, Devin Ebanks, Solomon Alabi, Jerome Jordan, Stanley Robinson and Jarvis Varnado still on the board, the team selected Andy Rautins and Landry Fields.
I'm not trying to knock either of those guys, but don't try to tell me that the Knicks think either of those guys will help them for this summer.
Did they draft both guys just so they won't get criticism for cutting them?
