The joy of attending a sporting event in person. Got your tickets, got your friends next to you, and all you need is something to eat and drink. Sure, every sport has there staples, but your choice always depends on the weather, your mood, and what you can afford. What will you buy at the concession stand?

Nachos

Nothing like some cheap tortilla chips, drenched with an abundance of yellow nacho cheese. A little messy, this fatty treat should always be accompanied with napkins.

Baseball and football games provide the perfect environment for consumption, and some locations may include salsa, beans, or jalapenos.

Peanuts

Get your peanuts, get your peanuts! Anybody who has attended a baseball game, better be ready to catch a bag of peanuts in a crowd.

Choose between salty, roasted, and plain peanuts, with no garbage can needed. Simply throw your shells underneath your seat, or don't hesitate to chuck them at the obnoxious fan in front of you. A great pairing with beer.

Pretzel

Pair your pretzel with a side of cheese, eat it with salt, or be boring, and eat it plain. Some fans tear the pretzel apart, and others just munch the thing like they haven't eaten for years.

Napkins aren't necessary and you will look more sophisticated then those who eat pizza, nachos, and peanuts at a sporting event.

Beer

A personal favorite of mine, beer is a great treat before, during, and after the game. Beer is a great compliment to anything without sugar (candy, snow cones, etc), and may also fill your belly if enough is consumed.

Choose from domestic, ales, porters, and female drinks (Mike's Hard Lemonade, etc). Remember to not mix your cerveza with liquor, and always find a designated driver.

Pizza

Perhaps the most filling food on this list, pizza is accepted at any sporting event. Don't expect top-notch quality, but do expect a lot of grease, very few ingredients, and a price tag between seven and ten dollars.

Grab a few napkins and make sure to not use your manners when grubbing down in front of your friends.

Cotton Candy

Better known for it's popularity at fairs, carnivals, and the local circus, cotton candy is a perfect sugar rush for your child.

Bigger then most peoples heads, this treat makes you feel like you have the biggest food item in the park. Great for drawing attention at the game, don't expect to have a full stomach after consumption.

Snow Cones

Colorful, and refreshing this snack has been a staple at baseball games for decades.

In contrast to ice cream, a snow cones will give you more of a chance to finish your frozen treat before melting all over you lap. Even our President has no shame when it comes to snow cones.

Water

A little H2O is a great chaser for your beer or liquor, and is a smart way to stay hydrated on a hot summer day.

The smartest person alive is whoever decided to start bottling water, and selling it with a huge mark-up.

Not as cool as beer, or soda, you will be the one laughing when the temperature reaches 100 and everyone around you is sweating like pigs.

Coffee

Sorry Glen Coffee, we are talking about a cup of Joe. If you are catching an early morning football game, or your baseball team is playing extra innings late at night; coffee is the answer.

Coffee is perfect for warming up, waking up, and sobering up. Get your coffee black, or mix in a little cream and sugar and wait for your alertness to show up. Very affordable, and make sure to ask for a lid to prevent spilling.

Hot Dog

This food allows for the most in customer input. Purchase your wiener naked, and pick from an plethora of condiments and side dishes.

Depending on your location you may get a smoked sausage, bratwurst, or your standard simple hot dog. Whatever you do, make sure to use a bun so you don't get your ass kicked.

Whatever Fits in Your Pockets

For those of you on a budget, this is the way to go. Cargo shorts, big coats and a wife with a purse works great for this sneaky project.

Fill your pockets with candy, flasks, peanuts, and anything else that won't leak or spill all over your clothes.

Honorable Mention Munchies

Concession stands vary from park to park, and city to city. If nothing on this list fits your appetite look into various types of candy, popcorn, hamburgers, soda and hot chocolate.

Some sporting events will even offer barbecue, chili, burritos, and sushi among other foods for the belly. Eat responsibly, and now I need to go raid my kitchen.
