#1: Kevin Harvick
Kevin stayed out of trouble and kept his nose clean in Sonoma while bringing home a third-place finish. Kevin now leads the points by 140 over Jimmie Johnson.
#2: Denny Hamlin
Denny's run in Sonoma was eventful to say the least, but showed some excellent driving prowess by navigating the two-mile road course with zero visibility, when he had hood problems. After a tough day, Denny wound up finishing 34th and finds himself 4th in the series point standings. The good news: he is heading to New Hampshire, another flat track where he has had success.
#3: Jiimmie Johnson
Jimmie dominated in Sonoma and brought home his first road course victory on a track that has haunted him in the past. Johnson is now second in the series points standings heading to New Hampshire—a track he has has won at two times.
#4: Kurt Busch
Kurt was running well in Sonoma until a late race altercation sent him spinning through the grass and packing with a 32nd place finish. Excluding Sonoma, Kurt Busch has the momentum after sweeping the May races at Charlotte and bringing home consecutive top-ten finishes at Pocono and Michigan.
#5: Tony Stewart
Tony had a fairly uneventful day in Sonoma and brought home a ninth-place finish. He now has three consecutive top-ten finishes heading in to New Hampshire—a track he was won at two times. Momentum is also on his side, with the summer stretch now in full swing. He has historically has his best races this time of the season.
