NBA Rumors: Five Reasons LeBron James and Chris Bosh Will Never Team Up
One of the hot rumors of the NBA offseason has been the idea that LeBron James and Chris Bosh will team up to create one of the best duos in the NBA. Both are two of the biggest free agents currently on the market and both are looking to win.
The teams rumored to pursue both of them are well known, but will anyone team have the means and the strength to sign both? That is one question. The other question is whether or not this tandem will actually come together. The idea is grand, but there are five reasons why LeBron and Bosh will not be teammates.
Bosh Wants To Be The Man
Bosh recently stated that he wants to be THE guy on his next team. Well, anywhere he goes to play with LeBron James he will undoubtedly be looked as a second fiddle to LeBron--fair or not.
Playing with LeBron will likely give bosh the best chance to win, but ego could get in the way and prevent the two from creating a winning tandem.
Both Want the Ball
Both LeBron and Bosh are accustomed to accumulating the bulk of their teams offense. In this scenario, they face the premise of sharing unlike they have before. This move likely effects Bosh more as LeBron has made it a point to be a ball distributor in addition to a scorer.
Bosh wants the offense run through him as does LeBron James. These are concerns both players will face as they head into free agency.
Do the Bulls Have Enough Space?
The Bulls are heavily rumored to the location that Bosh and LeBron could team up. But, do the Bulls have the financial space and the desire to add both to a roster already possesses enough talent to reach the playoffs?
The Bulls have a solid front court with Luol Deng and Joakim Noah and a rapidly rising star at guard in Derrick Rose (who will command a new deal in a few years). The Bulls simply want not want to hang the albatross of two max contracts around their neck.
Bosh May Bite on Miami
The talk has been about Bosh and LeBron to the Bulls. However, the Heat are also on Bosh's list of four teams he announced he'd like to play for. The Heat are also deal with the free agency of Dwyane Wade but has the room to lock up the big man for Wade.
Now, it's about Miami's pitch to Bosh which shouldn't be too difficult with the prospects of playing with Dwyane Wade and living in South Beach.
The Lakers May Jump In
The Lakers may jump in for a sign-and-trade with Bosh before the Bulls and Heat get their shot. Throughout the past few months we've heard grumblings about the Lakers and Raptors possibly pulling off a Bosh-for-Bynum switch. There are still conflicting reports about he veracity of this rumor, but the Lakers will certainly keep their ear to the ground.
