Maybe it's just me, but I have always had a thing for the tough and athletic type. The kind of woman that is easy on the eyes but isn't afraid to mix it up with the boys.

Who needs those high maintenance, "I broke a nail" types anyway? Give me a girl who can throw her hair in a ponytail and work up a sweat any day of the week.

Honorable Mention: Kyra Gracie

The only reason that Kyra does not make the actual list is because she does not compete in MMA; but since she is a world champion BJJ practitioner I wanted to show her a little love.

Man would I love to roll with her! Can I get a triangle please?

Honorable Mention: Sarah Ponce

Though Ponce has never competed in MMA…we really don’t care.

Besides she's a fairly seasoned kick-boxer and word on the street is she may be tapped as a competitor for the 135-pound women's tournament that Strikeforce is planning for next year.

So put that in your pipe and smoke it cuz she’s a knockout.

(By the way, she is also a model in case the picture didn’t give that away).

10. Kaitlin Young

Welterweight, 4-4

This knockout burst on to the WMMA scene in 2007 by going 4-0, including three KOs in under a minute.

Since that hot start the road has become a little bumpy—dropping her last four fights—for Kaitlin. But with those looks I'm sure she'll find plenty of men willing to console her.

9. Kerry Vera

Welterweight, 2-0

Brandon Vera may be going through a bit of a rough patch in his UFC career but how bad can it really be when you get to spend your time at and away from the gym with this gorgeous lady.

Kerry is just getting started in her MMA career so we are just finding out what kind of fighter she is but there is no doubt about her hotness.

8. Leiticia Pestova

Middleweight, 0-2

I'm not going to lie, I only know two things about this hot blond.

1. She was Gina Carano's first opponent as a pro in MMA.
2. She is ridiculously sexy.

That was all the convincing I needed to put her on the list.

7. Kim Couture

Welterweight, 2-2

The former wife of five-time UFC champion and MMA legend, Randy Couture, Kim may just the woman of my dreams.

We can all see that she is a sexy lady but what completes that package for me is that toughness. In her first round of her pro fight, Kim had her jaw broken; and while she did end up losing a unanimous decision she fought through the pain and battled like a champion.

That is a lady you would be proud to have on your arm.

6. Felice Herrig

Welterweight, 2-2

A former North American kick-boxing champion, Felice began her MMA journey in 2009.

This Midwestern hottie (with a cool scar on her forearm) has the looks to be a star and the striking background to be a real force down the road.

5. Erin Toughill

Middleweight, 10-2-1

Simply a strikingly beautiful woman, Erin also happens to be one of the most accomplished fighters—in both MMA and boxing—on the list.

In 2007 Erin retired from both Boxing and MMA but has since made a comeback to MMA going 3-0.

4. LaTasha Marzolla

Welterweight, 2-0 (Amateur Record)

The only selection on the list to appear in the glorious pages of Playboy, LaTasha is a spectacular specimen of the female form.

Currently competing in the Las Vegas based amateur promotion, Tuff N Uff, LaTasha is hard at work developing her MMA arsenal. This picture pretty much sums up why she makes the list—WOW.

3. Gina Carano

Middleweight, 7-1

Widely considered to be the "face" of WMMA, Gina Carano is as talented as she is gorgeous and it's pretty easy to see why she has become one of the sport's biggest and most recognizable stars.

Since losing to Crisitane "Cyborg" Santos in August of 2009, Gina has not been active in the sport and has instead turned her attention to the glitz and glamor of Hollywood.
