It is the first day of summer and this means the road to SummerSlam 2010 officially begins.

Last year's SummerSlam had great quality matches, which also saw the long-awaited returns of Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker.

After the Fatal 4 Way PPV and RAW's first summer show, I've decided to post possible scenarios that may possibly happen this summer, leading up to SummerSlam.

WARNING: The remaining slides of this slideshow may contain spoilers for future storylines.

Evan Bourne's Push Will Continue

Evan-bourne3_display_image

On May 31, Monday Night Raw saw Evan Bourne pitched into the main event with popular, established stars, as he teamed with John Cena to take on Edge and Sheamus.

A few days after, it has been announced that none other than Cena was behind the push of Bourne.

In recent weeks, we've seen Bourne more and more, and getting more TV time. He's recently involved in a feud with Chris Jericho, where he has pinned the future Hall of Famer twice, with Jericho beating him once.

With the Money In The Bank PPV in a little more than four weeks, Bourne is certainly going to be pitched in one out of the two ladder matches.

Knowing WWE creative, Evan will be placed in the World Heavyweight Champion Money in the Bank match, due to Rey Mysterio being the current holder.

This summer can see a rivalry of Bourne vs Mysterio. Who knows, maybe even turn Bourne heel. He sure did play a good heel in his ROH days.

The Divas Division Will Go Nowhere

73738-best_wwe_diva_display_image_display_image

It's not hidden that the WWE Divas division completely sucks. With the likes of Trish Stratus, Torrie Wilson, Sable, Jacqueline, and the other divas who have shaped the division gone from WWE, it is just a huge disaster.

It's a pity to see these beautiful, inexperienced divas wrestle.

It seemed that Mickie James, Michelle McCool, Melina, Maryse, Gail Kim (all M's), and Beth Phoenix were the saviors of the division. Mickie James has been released, Melina and Beth are currently injured, Michelle and Maryse are currently stuck in bad storylines, and Gail Kim is getting no kind of push.

With the PG era still in effect, all summer long, we will see these clueless women fully dressed, wrestling in a waste of 5-10 minutes of our lives.

The Miz Will Likely Feud With Morrison

Miz-vs

The Miz recaptured his United States Championship, but did it by sliding Morrison out the ring, 'stealing' a victory.

These two have had a bitter verbal rivalry. They only met in the ring one-on-one once, at Bragging Rights, where The Miz beat his former tag team partner.

These two are currently on the same brand, and with RAW creative doing nothing with Morrison. It is most likely we will see these two slapped together in a summer-long intense feud.

Zack Ryder Will Continue To Be An A-Hole

Title is self-explanatory. Boy, does this guy have potential, but he is so annoying!

Woo Woo Woo, YOU KNOW IT!

NXT Invasion Angle Will Get Intense

Nxt_group_comp-thumb-572xauto-82475_display_image

These seven promising rookies, in the past weeks, have completely made a statement and are going to continue to do the same thing over and over for the whole summer.

In less than three weeks, the whole trashing things, and interfering in matches has gotten boring, but somewhat interesting.

(Spoiler Alert)
It has been noted that Triple H will return at SummerSlam, to be named the mastermind behind these NXT rookies.

If WWE, indeed, goes with this plan, this whole NXT Invasion storyline could save WWE from its diminishing, sensible, and exciting storylines.

The only way I can see this NXT invasion angle ending is with the whole NXT season two wrestlers debuting as a face group to take out the heel NXT season one wrestlers.

Anyone Is A Contender

Any one of the men who competed in the Fatal 4 Way match this past Sunday can see themselves announced as the No. 1 contender, and have a long rivalry with the then WWE Champion.

Even Wade Barrett can cash his championship clause and be engulfed in a battle between either any of these guys.

Most likely, Edge and Orton will continue to feud.

Kane and Undertaker To Feud Again

Kanevstheundertaker_display_image

On the Smackdown side, Kane has been given a sudden recent push and a rampage to find out who has attacked his 'brother' and left him in a vegetative state.

Before I really thought about this storyline, I pointed out CM Punk as the culprit, but as I really thought about it, it only makes sense to point Kane as the attacker.

With Kane's recent push, why give up on his impressive promos and attacks by mark someone else as the culprit?

Marking Kane as the culprit will not only stir things up at Smackdown, but can also help Kane rise to main event status to finally earn his deserved world championship.

Rey Won't Hold The Belt For Long

Rey Mysterio's previous world championship stint lasted nearly three months and this time will be no different.

Rey will, no doubt, still be involved in his feud with CM Punk. The only two sensible people to take away the belt from Rey are Evan or Punk.

Rey's reign as champion will only last until SummerSlam.

Straight Edge Society Will Get Bigger

Wwe-raw-20100201034251291_display_image

The Straight Edge Society will get nothing but bigger and powerful.

Who would've thought SES would be the thing you tuned into Smackdown for?

Each week this team comes out, and enlightens the fans in the arena about their unholy ways, and continues to give the viewers at-home enjoyment.

(Spoiler Alert)
It has been noted that since Cody Rhodes is sparingly used, they will throw him in with the Straight Edge Society. Hehe, imagine Cody bald. And the masked man is rumored to be former 1/2 of MNM, Joey Mercury.

Matt Hardy Will Leave WWE

Seriously, this guy has gave his heart, soul, and body to WWE, only to be stuck in the mid- and low-card scene.

His brother was able to win gold even after his jump to TNA, while Matt has been extremely loyal. It looks as if Matt will hang his boots up and look for a better promotion that definitely appreciates his dedication.

Bring Bryan Danielson Back!

Seriously, bring this dude back!

WWE Summer Draft

Wwe-draft-2010_display_image

All of the star talent is crowded on RAW.

Smackdown is moving to Syfy this Fall, and it has been reported that a mini summer draft may happen to balance out the stars on each brand.

Conclusion

Wrestling_is_so_gay_display_image

All in all, we're less than two months away from SummerSlam, where the summer will draw down, and the summer madness will come to an end.

Expect plenty of surprises, as summer is the time where WWE pulls the plug and shocks many fans.
