NBA Trade Rumors: Five Players on the Trading Block Come Thursday
It is that time of year where NBA GM's are on the phones talking about who might be leaving the city next. Here are some players that look to be on the hot seat come Thursday. Some may be shocking, some might not, but all are on the trade block and have a possible chance of being moved by Friday morning after the NBA Draft!
1. Tony Parker or George Hill
The San Antonio Spurs had a new and upcoming player break out this year by the name of George Hill. George Hill played great at the point guard position while Tony Parker was out with an injury. Now the Spurs are looking to move either George Hill or Tony Parker. I think Parker has a better chance of being moved over George Hill.
2. Al Jefferson
Al Jefferson has had some nagging injuries come these last couple of years which would contribute to the Timberwolves looking to trade him. I can see the Timberwolves trading him to the Kings for the 5 pick in the draft. Picture this.
Kings: You get Al Jefferson at Center to accompany Tyreke at Point. With Landry at Power and Casspi at the 3 position all you have to do is trade Jason Thompson for a solid shooting guard. That's a nice solid line-up. You can also take a look at the Timberwolves who get Wes Johnson and DeMarcus Cousins. YOu have a line-up of Flynn, Brewer (until Rubio gets there), Johnson, Love and Cousins. That is a young solid line-up that can contend in the future. It makes sense for both teams.
3. Darius Miles
Darius Miles. Do I dare say the name. Miles was supposed to be this great player who turned out to be just about a complete bust and then "ended his career on an injury." Well he is back and trying out for Larry Brown's Charlotte Bobcats. I still can't believe it, but it has been said that Brown had a lot of interest in coaching Miles before the injury.
4. Rudy Gay
Rudy Gay seems to be on the Timberwolves radar and rumor has it that they are willing to give gay a max contract to come and play for them. This could possibly stir up a sign and trade. If this is true, don't be surprised to see the Timberwolves maybe take a big man in the draft instead of Wes Johnson.
5. Darren Collison
Darren Collison seems to have a hot name on the trade block. He looks to be offered around the league in exchange for a draft pick. I also saw another rumor that could send him to Indiana who are desperately looking for a point guard to run a very beat up team.
Here are some other "players" that could be on the move before this weekend:
# 4 pick (Timberwolves)
# 5 pick (Kings)
#9 pick (Jazz)
# 10 pick (Pacers)
