Tony Kanaan Wins Iowa

Tony Kanaan held off Helio Castroneves to win at the Iowa Corn IndyCar 250 at Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa on Sunday. Kanaan took the No. 11 7-Eleven Dallara Honda Firestone to victory for Andretti Autosport and the first win for Kanaan since Richmond in 2008.

Ryan Hunter Reay scored the Long Beach win in April for Andretti Autosport, and they now have two wins on the season. Helio Castronevers finished second, followed by a impressive run from EJ Viso, who was third.

Sunday was a tough day for several drivers, including Justin Wilson and Mario Moraes, who crashed together in the early laps. Sarah Fisher and Takuma Sato also got into trouble on Sunday, which ended their day.

The IZOD IndyCar Series is off next week then will go to Watkins Glen for a road course race on the July 4th weekend. Will Power leads Scott Dixon by 11 points going into the Glen.
