Carl Edwards won the inaugural Bucyrus 200 at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wis., on Saturday. Edwards started from pole and put on a dominant performance to score his first win of the season after two second place finishes at Nashville and Kentucky.

Edwards has been a stellar performer on road courses, scoring a victory at Montreal last season, and the Roush Fenway team looks to be back on track. Well, at least the No. 60 Fastenal team of Carl Edwards.

It was a tough day for several drivers at Road America with several mechanical failures and a few crashes as well. The road course ringers were in full effect at Elkhart but it was a Nascar regular who would hold them off for the victory as Ron Fellows finished second with Brendan Gaughan in third.

The Nascar Nationwide Series heads north from a weekend of road racing to the magic mile in New Hampshire for racing next Saturday with the return of Danica Patrick to the Nationwide Series.
