I will be naming ten superstars each from Raw and Smackdown! that should be in the main event scene. Ten main eventers for each show because of injuries, breaks from wrestling, etcetera. This isn't a list of my favorite stars, just of who I think should be main evening. The number ones for each show, you can assume I'd put them as champions if I were the one running WWE.
I must say, it was much easier to pick people to put into my own Smackdown! power rankings than it was to make Raw's.
He would only be a main eventer if there were many injuries and/or many people taking breaks. While he's almost unbearable to watch in the ring, he still is a veteran HEEL... Yes, I'd only use him as a heel, too.
While Big Show isn't as bad as Mark Henry, he sure isn't better than any of the talent I have above him on the Smackdown side of the list.
Kozlov is being misused by WWE currently, but he still doesn't deserve to be top talent. While he wouldn't be in the main event scene unless needed, he still deserves to be competing for the United States Championship.
I like MVP's work and I wanted to see him in the main event scene when he came into the WWE, but he's went nowhere with his gimmick and because of that it is boring... There's really no where to go with his gimmick now.
It took a very long time for Miz's gimmick to grow on me, but I think he's one of the best talkers on the mic now. He and Jericho's mic work almost parallel each other, but Miz's is much more entertaining. He can get under your skin quicker.
As for Cena,...yeah he's basically in the main event because he makes money. I look at quality a little more important than money, though.
While I know some of you will not like the ranking of CM Punk, I just feel that there are people that are more deserving or are better than him for the main event scene. I do like his heel work a LOT, but I think he'd be that much better as a face... He did well as one when he came into the WWE.
Really good wrestler, but he needs to prove himself a little more before he hits full-time main event status. While some people are giving him a free ride to the top of their rankings because of his family tree, I'm not so quick to do so.
Same for Cody Rhodes.
While everyone is really high on Orton, I'm not that high on him, although I do think he should be in the main event scene. He would be the first to get the call to main event if anyone is injured.
And I'm sure this is a surprise to MANY. But Finlay has been a loyal worker for WWE, and even at his age he is a damn good technical wrestler. As a heel, he could put a face over well if he was used right.
The names will be all in the main event, if I were running the WWE right now. Again, this isn't a list of my favorite WWE wrestlers, it's who I'd push.
While I don't like him a lot, there's a reason he's consistently been in the main event scene. That reason is Stephanie.
Now all jokes aside; that was a huge reason, but he also has talent on the mic and in the ring. He can fire up a crowd better than anyone in the wrestling industry.
If there's one thing you can say about Mysterio, it's that he is great in the ring. The best Cruiserweight in WWE history. Some people say because he's little he doesn't deserve to be in the World Title scene, but I highly disagree.
Eh, I know I will get a bunch of crap for this... Bring it on. Sheamus, as said by one of our community members, his gimmick isn't being forced onto us, it's just happening slowly and this, my friends, is how the WWE will make him a huge main eventer for years to come.
Everyone loves Taker's ring work. What surprises me, is how far I have him up this list. Why? Because he takes too many breaks. Yeah, it's part of his gimmick to only be around once in a blue moon. But I'm also sure it's because he loves that he rarely has to wrestle for huge pay checks.
Jericho's a good wrestler, but he bores me now. Go back to the old gimmick before you left WWE(you can keep the short hair) and you'll be a main eventer for me.
People make fun of him for his lisp, among other things, but you can't deny this man's in-ring talent.
He's a multiple time Tag Champion. Multiple time IC Champion. He's been in the WWE for a while. Give him what he's due!
He proved everyone he could main event while in TNA. Not all TNA main eventers would main event in WWE, but he definitely would. Besides, he's been in WWE for years and he's never had one of the two major titles. Give him one, WWE!
I'm sure many of you know who I have #1 for Raw, but be surprised who's at #1 for Smackdown!.
He's finally getting the push he should be in WWE the last few years, and I wouldn't have it any different. He's great as a heel main eventer.
Remember, this isn't a list of the BEST, or my FAVORITE... it's who should be main eventing in the WWE. And Kane has been overdue for a nice main event status reign since....Forever ago. He rarely gets injured and plays along in some of the most stupid feuds, when he is a pretty good wrestler and if used right for the last few years of his career, he could be given a few title reigns to close the chapter of Kane in WWE history. In my opinion, the best way to use him is to let him be a person that everyone loves, but he tortures everyone that gets in his path...Similar to how he was when he first took off his mask.
