As expected, the Utes have officially received an invite from the Pac-10 conference.

The conference's official website announced moments ago that the invite is official.

The Utes have a press conference scheduled for 1 p.m. MDT, at the Rice-Eccles Stadium Tower, confirmed by Remi Barron, University of Utah public relations specialist, and Liz Abel, associate athletics director and sports information director.

The Board of Trustees will have a meeting preceding the press conference, where Utah will discuss conference realignment—amongst other possible discussions, Barron said.

Assuming the Utes decide to join the Pac-10, they will become the 12th member—joining the University of Colorado.
