The Philadelphia Eagles are not only forming a squad to play football on Sundays'—they've also assembled one very sexy 2010 cheerleading squad to get the fans of Philadelphia that much more into the game.

Introducing the ladies in charge of carefully selecting the Philadelphia Eagles cheerleading squad:

Barbara Zaun and Suzy Zucker

Out of thousands of candidates, both Barbara Zaun (Director of Cheerleading) and Suzy Zucker (Cheerleaders Choreographer) have the rigorous job of carefully selecting 38 of the finest women to form an outstanding cast of cheerleaders for the Eagles.

It is a grueling and tiresome process. Barbara and Suzy dedicate a tremendous amount of time every week getting these girls prepared and have done so for quite some time.

Contrary to belief, being an NFL cheerleader is a physically demanding job. It requires hours of practice so they, much like the team they cheer for, are all on the same page during game time. Every one of these ladies has a life outside of being a cheerleader. They are continuing school, working a full time job elsewhere, have a family or significant other.

There is also the element of weather, which many tend to forget. Imagine for a second, gentlemen, standing out in frigid temperatures in, what could be compared to as a speedo!

Ok, now stop thinking about it before you hurt yourself.

My point is, the pleasure of being a Philadelphia Eagle cheerleader is a demanding job!

It is a job taken very seriously. It is a gateway to many other jobs, such as modeling or acting and both ladies in charge expect nothing but the best out of the "chosen ones."

Still, every Sunday these ladies come out with a smile bigger than Donovan McNabb's when he's nervous, to put on a side-show and further entertain the thousands of Philly faithful who come out to watch the game.

So this is a dedication to the fine ladies who make up the Eagles 2010 cheerleading squad and a thank you for all you do!

Here is a video of each of the 38 women selected I found on the Eagles official website :

I would like to conclude by saying—I for one, without question, appreciate all their efforts!
