It has become official, although many fans already knew this, the Oakland Raiders have no intentions of keeping LaMont Jordan. It is no surprise, yet the team has tried to trade him, with no luck. The team has asked him not to show up to Spring Training, but will he accept the fact he is being donated to anybody who will take him?

The only reason he has yet to be released, is that the Raiders do not want him to be signed by any division rivals. The Chiefs, Broncos, and Chargers could be teams willing to bargain with Lamont, but not for his $4.7 MIL price tag. The same goes with teams like the Buccaneers, Lions, Bengals, Jets, and even the Texans.
Most of these teams are waiting for the Raiders to release him, making him a free agent, therefore not having to give up anything but a paycheck for him.

I don't understand why he does not take a lesser role or play for less. He is way over paid.
