The New York Jets have signed former Packer first round draft pick, Ahmad "Batman" Carroll.
Batman's storied career is chronicled in the NY Post's article and states:
Carroll, 5-10, 190 pounds, spent the 2008 season with the Arena Football League's Orlando Predators, starting 15 of 16 games with 68 total tackles (60 solo), three fumble recoveries and an interception.
He originally was selected by the Packers in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft. In 2006, Carroll was waived by the Packers and signed as a free agent with Jacksonville, where he played in one game before being waived. (Thanks to the NY Post.)
He's also a former player with my adopted home state's pride and joy, the Arkansas Razorbacks. He played football and ran track, as a sprinter.
Batman's probably best remembered by Packer fans for his week 4 performance in the 2006 season against the Philadelphia Eagles. Carroll was burned for two costly touchdowns by Greg Lewis and had three penalties.
Needless to say, he wasn't a Packer for much longer.
