Cubs' Offense Is Flawed, But Where?

Bullpen BrianCorrespondent IJune 13, 2010

I look over this lineup and see a bunch of talent, but can’t seem to figure out why these guys can’t score runs.

I imagine it’s a very ‘Lou-like’ feeling…no answers for an offense that’s 5-for-37 with RISP its last five games.

Is there more to it than Aramis’ and Lee’s struggles? Is Theroit leading off the problem…Soto’s power outage…Fukudome’s predicted decline? I just don’t know any more.

With all the talent, and with all the money dumped into this lineup, you’d think someone or some lineup change would spark the club. But 60-games in nothing has worked…not Castro, not Colvin, not anybody.

Somewhere in this lineup is a major flaw, which is evident in the Cubs’ 27-35 record. The frustrating part, however, is I just can’t seem to find it.
