With the World Cup less than a week away, I thought it would be a great time to look back at some of the great, the good, and the not so good fluff pieces that have been published in the run up to the big kickoff.
Did I pick your favorite list article or was I totally off the mark with my top ten picks?
This was one of my personal favorites. It demonstrated some of the extremes of this year's tournament.
David Struhs made a hit and miss article with these hit and miss haircuts. It looks like David wants to do a hatchet job on some players, "syrup of figs" with his selections.
Kelvin Osuoji did a great job with his top defenders at this year's World Cup.
Jon Sainz takes a sideways glance at this year's World Cup stadium with his satirical "Stadiums in the Sand."
Chris Ison's look at the best Under 21's playing at this World Cup is worth a second look.
One of the big hits on the read front, this one. Willie Gannon, one of the elder statesman of the B/R World Football section really racked up the reads with this comical look at the tournament's team shirts.
Ayush Pathak took a look at who will be the "Next Big Star" after the tournament with a bunch of players that were for the most part already pretty big fish.
This one was a huge hit for Eric Gomez, especially with the American sports fans who don't know enough about the beautiful game.
B/R Rookie, Colm Larkin, has done a fantastic job looking at who from the outside chances can be the coveted "Golden Boot" for the 2010 World Cup.
Topping the list is this very thorough and slightly controversial "Best 25 World Cup Goals Ever." The embedded video links show every goal in the list from No. 25 through to the No. 1 best goal of all time.
