"It's a bird and a plane?"
Animals are amazing as pets and as parts of our world. Rarely does one find an animal that reaches beyond the mystery of the zoo, but when one does—with the strengths of a human athlete—many flock to see the amazing and astounding animal athletes.
While many are found in training, those animals which are caught performing sport-like activities without training are treasured with amazement in as much as the man hit in the groin with a baseball is laughed at.
The following are a compendium of both trained and untrained amazing animals for your amusement and marvel.
Pomeranian Playing Soccer
This little pooch has more skills than barking and marking his territory (though to many sports fans with plenty of beer, marking territory is an important activity).
Tag You Are It—Acrobatic Monkey Versus Dog
I am not sure what is more exciting here, the monkey teasing the dog or the monkey acrobatics. Makes you wish you had some monkey skills.
Basketball Playing Dog
While the trainer is slightly disturbing, I dare wonder what his relationship with the dog is like...
This obedient pooch is one for the ages. Hey Cleveland, with rebuilding mode going on, consider this guy.
Just a Very Well Trained Smart Dog
This dog would give any well trained dance gymnast a run for their money.
AeroCats Kitty Climbs and Swings
These cats know a thing or two about climbing.
Monkey versus Tiger
This monkey has a death wish, and this tiger is not very skilled to say the least.
World Cup Elephant
Many third world teams which have suffered some very embarrassing defeats could use the services of this well skilled elephant. Hey, if you can't beat them, trample them!
XGames Dog
This little pooch would make Tony Hawk's day. All he needs is a video game and grungy clothing!
Tiger Tricks!
These tigers are big, scary, and have psycho keepers. I thought Sigfried and Roy were looney toons, and then these untamed but elegant animals came around.
Kung Fu Bear
(You didn't think I was not going to include this one after putting it in the title). This guy is amazing, but it does seem that the knocking noise is him slamming that staff of wood into his head. Oh well, nothing more than the life a retired boxer with brain damage for this zoo dweller.
High Flying Doggy
Ah, to all those who enjoyed Air Bud, I save this one for last. Amazing dogs and I love the old frisbee catch on steroids. Man's best friend is the true animal thriller.
