The Atlanta Falcons faced significant adversity last season. Decimated with injuries and playing one of the league's toughest schedules (including playing an obscene amount of teams coming off of a bye week), the Falcons still managed to finish the season 9-7.

Now it seems much of the league and opposing fan bases have forgotten how good this team really is. So here are five reasons, in no particular order, the Atlanta Falcons are better than whatever team you root for.

The Burner

This human bowling ball is Michael Turner...your team does not look forward to tackling him. An unnamed source was quoted as saying "hitting Michael Turner is like trying to tackle a Buick."

Our Coach Can Beat Up Your Coach

Mike Smith could beat up more than half of the players on your team, and isn't afraid to do so. This strikes fear into opponents.

Our Opponents

Remember on the previous slide when I wrote about Mike Smith striking fear into opponents? I was talking about guys like Jimmy Clausen, the Carolina Panthers "future."

Awesome Throwbacks

Best throwbacks in the league, hands down. Just look at the terror in poor Josh Freeman's eyes.

Our Grammar

The Atlanta Falcons fans choose not to chant obnoxious and grammatically incorrect things during games. I can't stress how important this advantage is.
