Why I HATE Madden 2010
With Madden 2011's release just around the corner, fans of the series are understandably excited. Probably more so than recent years. Why?
Because Madden 2010 sucked.
After countless hours of beating my head against the wall because of this stupid game, I have to get this off my chest.
Here it goes.
Fight for the Fumble
Button-mashing is not good. I do not want to rapidly hit a button to simulate fighting for a fumble. They claim they did this to make the game more realistic.
That is a stupid reason. A fight for a fumble in a NFL game is nothing like its video game counterpart.
In an NFL pileup, there is gouging, punching, pulling, and groin shots. In Madden you press a freaking button, tell me how that is similar at all.
I also hate it because I suck at rapidly pressing buttons and I always lose. Even if my guy falls on it and waits three seconds for the next guy to jump on, I lose because I am so freaking awful at button mashing.
Get rid of it EA, right now, it sucks and no one likes it.
Fumbling Every Other Play
I swear, every other time I run the ball, I fumble.
If you juke or spin move, it will probably come squirting out of your virtual running back's hands. If you are one of the poor dumb souls who dare run it up the middle, you will lose the ball.
Heck, even the quarterbacks fumble almost every time they get sacked.
The worst part about this whole piece of crap?
The CPU never fumbles because it presses the "secure the ball" button. The heck I am going to press that button ever because I want to juke and spin and have cool long yardage runs, which is hard to do when you are pressing the button the farthest away from the juke and spin buttons.
You know what really sucks, though? Every time I fumble, I have to fight for the ball, which really, really pisses me off.
My Wide Receiver Dropping Every Other Ball
Last year, the leader in dropped passes had 16. My receiver had more than that in almost every game I played in franchise mode. Most of them are easy catches too.
Yes, EA receivers do drop balls, but not 20 times a game. And you, my video game designing friends, have never dropped balls, ever.
I know it's not EA's fault, but gosh, he is so annoying. It is their fault, however, that he repeats the same 15 lines over and over.
I play with the sound down because of this crap.
Superstar Mode's Retarded Camera Angle
Dude, number one, the camera is too close to the player. Number two, we don't face forward on defense in any other mode so why now.
I cannot even play as a quarterback because the camera is so close I cannot freaking see past my guards on either side.
Please, just make our superstar's view the same as the regular view in the rest of the game, it will make life so much better.
Finally, screw you, EA, you ruined my favorite game.
Way to freaking go!
