Tom Brandstater has been released by the Denver Broncos and Tim Tebow is now listed on the depth chart as the third string quarter back.  The move is somewhat shocking as Brandstater was a work in progress for coach Josh McDaniels, but most teams only carry three quarter backs on a roster.

Orton trade rumors have been flying throughout the off-season, but I highly doubt he is going anywhere.  He remains at the top of the depth chart, and I expect him to retain that status throughout camp and into the regular season.

McDaniels isn't afraid to make bold moves or "shocking" moves either, but Orton proved that he can lead this team to win games.  With Tebow as a wildcat option, and a backup in Quinn, I feel the real question this season isn't about the quarter backs, or who is in.  The real test for this years team will be the defensive play and the ability, or lack there of, to run the ball effectively.

Brandstater will land somewhere else and has the potential to be a good backup in this league, but with all the quarter backs in Denver, there just wasn't room for him in Colorado anymore.
