A reminder why replay is important in NFL

The National Football League brought back instant replay after a long hiatus, which in that time saw officials blow calls that couldn’t be corrected.

However, there are still those that think replay should be done away with.

Now, there is a reminder of how important replay is.

In a Major League Baseball game between the Detroit Tigers and the Cleveland Indians Tigers pitcher Armando Galarraga caught the baseball and touched first base for what should have been the final out of a perfect game.

However, Jim Joyce blew the call and called Clevelan’s Jason Donald safe.

It reminds of Superbowl XL where Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger tried a quarterback sneak and scored a touchdown, but many contend that Roethlisberger never broke the plain of the goal line.

Replay is vital to major sports as technology shows mistakes that are made and when people make mistakes it can sometimes haunts them for the rest of their life.

In the end, I feel sorry for Joyce as he will surely have many sleepless nights ahead.
