MLB, New York Yankees, Minnesota Twins, Game Recap

Tonight, the New York Yankees defeated the Minnesota Twins 8-2 and have continued their winning streak to five games and have won their last ten out of thirteen.

They Yankees struck early when Robinson Cano singled to score Alex Rodriguez. Cano was two for four with two runs batted in on the night.

However, the Yankee lead would not last long because in the sixth the Twins scored two runs off of Rasner and knocked him out of the game. Dave Robertson came in and threw one pitch and ended the Twin threat.

Later in the bottom of the sixth, after a Johnny Damon single, Bobby Abreu connected on a two-run home run, his eleventh of the year. The Yankees would not look back after that scoring five more runs and winning the game.

Dave Robertson got the win, his second, and Kevin Slowey drops to 6-7.
