Letter to Brett Favre

Dear Brett,

Please Brett Favre, please retire. I know it must be tough to not be getting ready for training camp, but please do not go down the road of fellow comrades who would not bow out gracefully (most notably: Joe Montana, Emmitt Smith, and Joe Namath).

This whole situation is hurting your legacy. You and the Green Bay Packers have handled this situation poorly. Please be the better man and retire and become a sportscaster, coach, mentor, and great leader among men.

The difference in being a great leader to a good leader is knowing when to bow out.

Is it better to burn out than fade away?
