This is the Mount Rushmore of D.C sports the newest faces of D.C sports. Charged with one task bring a championship to the nations capital.
The number 1 overall pick, sure fire Hall of Famer...Ok, maybe i got a little ahead of myself ; but the kid is good he's dominated the minor leagues and is set to make his first start June 8, 2010 against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The kid is big and has a rocket arm, hes also been called the pitcher of his generation. Hopefully he can bring D.C closer to baseball.
With the late great former owner of the Wizards Abe Polin Looking down on them. The Washington Wizards won the lottery and if they have any sense they will choose John Wall from the University of Kentucky. He's Lightning quick and can finish at the hoop he needs a little jump shot work but if all goes as plans he can make the Wizards Marketable/winners again.
Alexander Ovechkin or as I like to call him the Lebron James of hockey (Crosby is Kobe). Is a fearsome player he's big, fast, strong, and nasty. This former first overall pick has paid off tremendously with multiple Heart trophies(MVP) and turning the Washington Capitals from a joke to the #1 NHL team he is perhaps Washingtons biggest superstar the only thing he is missing much like Lebron is a ring.
At the end of the day the Redskins are the most beloved team in D.C and probably always will be. So this puts Donovan Mcnabb at the head of the Mount Rushmore. He has 95 wins and has been to 5 NFC Championships not to mention 1 Superbowl with the Eagles. I Know for a fact that every Redskins fan including myself is crossing their fingers hoping this isnt another big name BUST in a Redskins uniform
