Kimi Raikkonen is very busy man, people, and he doesn't have time to sign your precious autographs or console crying children.

He's just here to race, folks. Sure, that may be cold, but then again he's called "The Iceman" for a reason. He has a reputation to keep up.   He'll also shove photographers who get in his way:

  1. shame on you kimi .....ha ha .

that one at the top isnt as bad as it looks , the woman should of had her child under control . after all the paddock area is full of rushing drivers and reporters .

although it was a little mean of kimi not to sign an autograph . id sign them all day if i was asked to .

  2. Sorry but the guy is getting reading to race a car, that needs one full attention. That photographer should be banned from all F1 races, he had stepped over the boundaries. As for the child, that was the parents fault, not only was the mother more interested in the autograph than her own child, she put her child in harms way, Kimi did not even see the child until he was way past it and the crying started.

  3. Sorry, but considering Räikkönen as busy man is funny. He's not just into giving autographs and doing some other things simply because he don't know how to deal with that situation. It's in our mentality, so Kimi, and some other famous finns simply don't like those things. I mean, no one bothers him anywhere in Finland to give people autographs, cause people here are too reserved and they respect his privacy.
He is just ordinary guy, and yes, media made monster of him. But he don't like to be disturb. I would just wish that people respect that.

About photographer, it's his fault that he came so close to Räikkönen. That was too close, and i would react on same way.

    1. Dagni, I agree with your post, it is also good to get an insight to his thinking. As for the photographer, a good promoter would have the guy banned from the track.

  4. Interesting points across the board and yeah I respect all of them and yes maybe the child wasnt seen and maybe the mother did get all up in his face but when the situation comes to a head Kimi realises he has just knocked a child over, surely human nature takes over and you feel bad and help the kid up ? I would feel terrible walking away from that !

    1. I think that some people would consider Kimi as potential killer if he smahed Lewis in Montreal after that incident. Someone said that Lewis was lucky cause he hited the most calmed driver. Yeah, Lewis didn't knew how would Robert react , so, ok, he hit Kimi knowing that he would be unhurt after leaving the car.

So, i don't think that anyone should make a big deal out this article with kid. Leave the man alone. That's all what he asks for. I wouldn't even allow my daughter to try to take autograph from anyone. It's My duty as a parent to do such things, if my little blonde princess ask for that.

    2. I think you have got my comment all wrong Dagni ? ... I havent said anything bad about the guy ... I just questioed his human nature ? Plus its not really anything to do with Montreal, thats bringing up a completely different subject, its not like Lewis purposely aimed for Kimi .. and I am certainly not making a big deal of the video ... Read my statment again to find that I am objecting from both sides of the fence ! Maybe you are a whole better parent than the woman in the clip ? Well done for that !

    3. Sorry Mr. Eddie Jordan........i mean Benny. Yes, maybe i got some things wrong.
What i said about Lewis is correct. He had lucky.

But Räikkönen and kids! I mean, last year when he was in Montreal and it was in some school to visit the children (sponsors forced him to do it), he looked pretty lost there, and then when he relaxed and forgot that cameras all around he relaxed and he played with kids. He was deeply touched with that, and talked a lot about it. I just can't wait the day when people would ask for autograph from my daughter when she become world rally champion :)

    4. Well I hope she is world rally champion, I would like her autograph, ha ha ...

    5. lol Benny, I think you have to ask Me first if you want my daughter autograph. Or you want my autograph? But she's too young, but very talented.

    6. Dagni, can I have your autograph ? ;) He he he

  5. Thats terrible, poor kid.
However, the mother should have had her kid under control, and not left her after she fell over, terrible parenting. But as ben said, having walked away after knocking a child over, i couldn't do that, i'd feel terrible, maybe this is why he was so poor in germany, unless it was after?

  6. I think he should be given a break, that mother knocks down her own kid, then he has to gesture to her to go check the kids alright. I can't blame him for not signing the autograph.

    1. I have seen a video of kimi signing autographs and it was bouncing down with rain , he still walked the whole line of fans and signed .

The best person for signing autographs was Le King eric cantona , he stood there for 3 hours after training chatting and signing.

Anyway That video is the womans fault really , the kid ran underneath her and straight into kimi , and her desire for an autograph meant more to her than her own child thats what is sad about it .

If it was me i would of picked the child up and signed an autograph ,and told them they could spend the race in my garage.

but Kimi did look like he had to be somewhere quickly ,he could of took a second to stop and make sure the kid was ok but its not his child so he isnt obliged .

all in all it was an accident caused by parental neglect .

  7. Oh and he does sign autographs:

  8. Crying kids are a very perplexing thing. I don't blame him.

But if I was him, I would have signed the kid and given it to the mother. Solves two problems at once.

  9. Anyway, for all we know, she might have been trying to trick him into signing paternity papers.

  10. Jeez, keep your kids in your line of sight woman! Bloody hell, what a fool. I think that was Kimi's way of saying rather than keep trying to get my god damn autograph, go see to your kid!

as for the photographer bit, already voiced my opinion on that.

everyone wants some privacy, even if they are at a race circuit.

who will ever forget montoya and the camerman - "you broke my f*cking head man!" - still love watching that on youtube.
