Expect St. John coach Steve Lavin to finalized his coaching staff this week by announcing the additions of former Rice High School coach Mo Hicks and Oregon assistant coach Mike Dunlap .

Dunlap is one of most respected coaches in the nation, has recruited at the highest levels and is a winner with a great knowledge of how the game is played.  A two-time NCAA national champion, he was the associate head coach at the University of Arizona before taking the same position at University of Oregon.

Dunlap spent two seasons as an assistant coach with the NBA's Denver Nuggets, working under head coach George Karl. Because of this, he is considered one of the best X's-and-O's assistant in college basketball.

Hicks is known as one the best recruiting high school players in the metropolitan area. His presence will help Lavin bring in top high school players from New York City, and this could put St. John back on top in college basketball.
