To Be Honest

To start this off I know I'm going to take heat for this and I don't want it to come across the wrong way. My article is about the SEC so if your a LSU or UF fan, please just don't read this I'd rather not offend you than get a highly read article.

To start off I'd like to  point out that the SEC, while its a good conference, is the most overrated conference in the NCAA. Yes, they have won 2 NC's the last 2 years, but a National Championship makes a good team not a good conference. I know that if the Big East won 2 NC's or the ACC won 2 it would be called a fluke or that "they are a 1 or 2 team conference; The SEC had 1 out of 2 deserving teams win a NC!" "UF should have been in the NC game! LSU should not have been there."  Unfortunately, most of America agrees with that and has voted on it in numerous polls. While the SEC has 4 legitimate teams, the rest are highly overrated, but with UF, LSU, AU, and UGA they are a strong conference. But no matter how great they are, I'm sick of hearing how they are the best, because when the season starts I know that there are way better teams out there and each one of them has a better shot at a title than a SEC team. I'm not saying that if a SEC team went undefeated and won a NC they don't deserve it.

One big thing is that the SEC has a very weak defense as a conference, and while they rank high in stats, they play a lot of D2 and sub-conference teams. Another fact working against them is out of conference play, the SEC is not high on the list. Also, I'd like to state that Tim Tebow is good, but he is not as good as Urban Meyer claims. He's a well-rounded athlete: He can pass well enough and run ok, but there are at least 15 other qbs who can do exactly what he does in the same system and win more games. With that being said I do believe Harvin is an unbelievable wide receiver, he's just extremely gifted. I think Harvin will be more of a star next year than his qb counterpart Tebow.
