Lleyton Hewitt: He Will Never Stop Believing

After so many years in Tennis, Lleyton Hewitt's will to win is something that should be strongly admired. The Aussie, will not give up until the last point and is still someone who the top players want to avoid.
Watching Hewitt's third round defeat at Roland Garros to Rafael Nadal, I noticed that the world number 33 still shows strong signs of his hunger for the sport. Even as Nadal broke his serve, Hewitt would fight back to give himself a chance of a break.
He is a player who always looks for a way to win and if things are not going well than he will change his tactics. Against Nadal he started at the baseline but after watching a couple of forehands whip past him, the Australian was not afraid to approach the net, which seemed fairly successful in the second set.
A couple of times during the match he was heard to say things such as "I hate this surface" and "I wish I was on grass" but even though he hates the clay he did not let the match pass him by. Hewitt, was and still is a force on grass and he showed that with a quarter-final appearance at Wimbledon last year. This year, I predict a similar run.
In most people's eyes he is now an underdog, but he has a brilliant game and the all important mental attitude that has seen him rise to the top and keep him inside the top 50 despite some setbacks. With two hip surgeries and a troublesome knee, Hewitt is a real fighter and will keep going until it is impossible.
