On July 22, 1995, the Raiders moved from Los Angeles back to Oakland.
In 1982, the Raiders moved from Oakland to Los Angeles. In their first season in Los Angeles, they finished the season 8-1 and made it to the second round of the playoffs, where they lost to the New York Jets.
In the following year, they made it to the Super Bowl and won, beating the Washington Redskins 38-9. In 1984 and 1985, they made it to the playoffs two more times.
Between 1986 and 1989, the Raiders failed to post a season higher than 8-8.
They only made the playoffs three times between 1990 and 1993.
In June 1995, Davis signed a letter of intent to move the Raiders back to Oakland, and on July 22, 1995, the league voted to move the team back to Oakland.

They made the playoffs three times between 1990 and 1993. They only missed out in 1992, with a 7-9 record. Overall, in LA, they went to the playoffs 7 times, missed 6 times.

July 22nd became my birthday, from that day in 1995, forward. I have it marked on my calendar. I was in SD that day and ran around high fiving people on the street. Where were you when you heard we were coming home?
