Everyone knows that real Madrid is the club that always attracts the big stars of the game, and they have always had a team full of world class internationals.

Their actions over the past view months have been concentrated on Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo and their ongoing pursuit of the player. However Manchester United has refused point blank to sell him due to the fact he is under contract.

Manchester United has every right to keep Ronaldo at the club no matter the opinion of many football fans that think Manchester is being too stubborn.

In the next couple of days the Spanish giants will reportedly make offers for Arsenals Cesc Fabregas and AC Milan's Kaka.

As a football and Arsenal fan, Real Madrid really annoys me with their bullying approach to the game, thinking they can buy every big star that comes along.

They will probably fail to get Ronaldo so they are now trying to get two more of the world's biggest players.

It annoys me that every year they try to buy from teams like Arsenal and United—trying to buy their way to success.

It seems that they want to buy every great player so Real Madrid has no football competition from other teams, and this to me is bullying.

My question is why do the leaders of the game let this happen and why do they not punish Madrid for their actions which transpire each and every transfer window. Is there no punishment that they can be given?

  1. First off, every year Madrid inquires about Kaka and Fabregas and ever year rumors fly for two days and then are done. Their pursuit of Ronaldo, on the other hand, has been legitimate and while some of their tactics may be "shady" they are not doing anything Manchester United and other big clubs in the world do every day.

What is United doing with Berbatov right now? Trying to bully another club and buy their top talent?

How do you think players like Rooney, Ferdinand, Ronaldo, Nani, Carrick, Van der Sar, and many others got to United? They were bought because Manchester had the most money and thus went out and bought the best players.

This is how football works and as unethical and disgraceful it is, that is the way of the world right now and everyone—including Manchester fans—are going to have to accept that.

    1. United made an offer for berbatov before they spoke about it.The same goes for rooney, ferdinand, ronaldo, nani, carrick and van der sar.Real madrid haven't made an offer and haven't even got the money!! They need to apply for a loan (serious). It would be irritating if I thought they had a snowballs chance in hell of getting him.How anybody can compare the two clubs ways of doing business is beyond me.

  2. It annoys you that teams try to buy their way to success? Really?

I suppose Manchester United and Arsenal (given that you mention these two) nurture all their talent. Let me see... what did they spend their money on last year...

Arsenal: Lukasz Fabianski (Legia Warsaw, £2m), Eduardo Da Silva (Dinamo Zagreb, £7.5m), Havard Nordveit (Haugesund, undisclosed), Bakary Sagna (Auxerre, £7m), Lassana Diarra (Chelsea, £2m). Fairly restrained from Mr Wenger, but still more money than many clubs ever get to spend on transfers...

Manchester United: Owen Hargreaves (Bayern Munich, £17m), Nani (Sporting, £14m), Anderson (Porto, £17m), Tomasz Kuszczak (West Brom, £2m), Carlos Tévez (West Ham, undisclosed) . Wow, now that's what I call spending your way to success. Not to even mention about the controversial transfers of Hargreaves and Tévez...

Given that there is more money pouring into the Premiership than any other league in the World, this seems like a very strange thing to get annoyed about. So Real Madrid have some money and are splashing their cash about. Perhaps they come across as arrogant, but bullying? You think teams like United don't know how to handle themselves?

Time to wake up and smell the coffee...

  3. Football has always had this "shady side" to the game, where the Big Boys would muscle their way into chasing the players they were after and usually getting them. Even back in the days of Stanley Matthews deals were being made behind closed doors, albeit usually for a few beers, a nice shiny bicycle and a roast for the missus! ;-)

Seriously, though, it's pointless getting upset about how Madrid are "behaving" - since the Bosman ruling, contracts mean nothing anymore, so why shouldn't clubs show an interest in another team's player? The key issue is that if teams were successful on the pitch, they would be more financially successful off it (usually) and therefore could keep their star players.

Madrid are doing nothing that Arsenal (to a degree), Manchester Utd, Chelsea, Milan, Barcelona, Liverpool et al are doing regularly. The fact of the matter is that football is now a big business game and if you want to play in it, you have to be prepared for the truth that your players are no more than products nowadays - and like any business, a product is there to be either used or sold.

Perhaps it's not the teams who should be getting censured, but the ruling powers that have let the situation get to the status it's at today...

    1. thanks for the comments dude and i agree the situation should of been sorted out before it got to this stage.
