The WWE Universe over the years have seen many ignorant and arrogant heels who worked their hearts out to earn fan heat and with the likes of "the dirtiest player in the game" Ric Flair, "The Game" Triple H, even "The Million Dollar man" Ted Dibiase whose son Ted Jr., is definitely raising some eyebrows.
But this isn't about past heel's this is about the new heel's.
Who is going to be No. One?
And believe me it's not who you think.
The Rated R Superstar Edge, had one of his worst years of his career last year when he was unfortunately injured in a house show match just after capturing the Unified Tag Team Championships with fellow Canadian Chris Jericho.
WWE began to play on this as Jericho was seen making negative remarks referring Edge.
He returned and won the Royal Rumble and challenged Chris Jericho. Losing his match at Wrestlemania he continued this rivalry.
However. on Tuesday April 27th, the WWE Draft stirred things up as Edge was drafted To Raw.
According to him all his training and preparation to become the top dog on Smackdown went up in smoke, so what does he do?
Well, The ultimate opportunist takes advantage of an opportunity and Spears former partner Randy Orton this meaning he had turned heel.
This was what I'd been waiting for the old Edge back on our screens and man what away to start his heel turn.
I'm sure Edge will become WWE Champion in no time in fact I am routing for him to win the Fatal Four Way match.
For me, a future hall of famer, this guy has it all.
His attitude towards fans is what I feel makes me like him and his arrogant moaning is just brilliant.
Jericho a veteran has been drafted to Raw.
Now, I think this didn't need to happen, the guys Raw already had was a massive show but adding Jericho loses the likes of John Morrison in a field of main eventers.
Teaming with The Miz now in which some call the Ultimate clash of ego's but why?
Why is a legend like Jericho having to team with The Miz?
I have a feeling they don't know what to do with him.
I want his old motto back his real Y2J side back, yes, as a heel but the Screen entrance the attitude just blew me away.
If Jericho is thrown into the title picture than that will defiantly push guys to the back of the queue.
But Y2J is a heel who can do amazing things and I look forward to seeing him upset guys and fans a lot more often.
The current World Heavyweight Champion, the all-American, American, Jack Swagger.
Since his World title push he has grown in numbers and if it wasn't for his look in 2008/2009, I'd say he'd be pushing for a higher spot on my list.
What I mean about his look is that I saw him as an over-confident guy who'd be put in his place by the likes of Santino Marella.
Does that sound like a top heel? No it doesn't but I see Jack Swagger as two men.
One— The Over confident American idiot.
Two— The Super athletic heel of Smackdown.
Now, this new guy that picked up his first world title after cashing in on Smackdown has gone on quite a rollercoaster.
This man has been one of the most recognizable superstars on a PPV Card since this unbelievable win.
The moment that my opinion changed about Swagger was when he pinned Jericho and celebrated with no emotion that signaled to me a start of something new.
His win over Randy Orton only helped cement his status as World Heavyweight Champion.
I feel his title reign may come to an end by the Money in the bank PPV but hey Jack enjoy this moment while it lasts.
Yes, your probably wondering why is this guy so high up, well I feel he is one of the most entertaining guys in the whole WWE at the moment.
He is the old Jack Swagger but much, much better and backs it up with his mic and in-ring skills.
He reminds me of the famous, Mr Perfect, in the way he acts and when his music hits, I find myself
Now he has the sleeper hold in his power, I see this guy with the potential to reach the success of the likes of Chris Jericho, Triple H maybe even Ric Flair.
What he needs though is a title.
A couple of months ago I did a take on my champions of 2010 and added the Cruiserweight title to Superstars this would be the perfect superstar to place it on.
Maybe even a rivalry with Kofi Kingston.
It doesn't matter, his name is Dolph Ziggler and to me he is Perfection.
He's the Miz and he is truly AWESOME!
Mike Mizanian to me is truly a stand out heel right now.
Given the ultimate push when he picked up the Unified Tag Team Championships with The U.S Title already around his waist he really was a top superstar this and last year.
Started out as a arrogant and over confident asshole the "Chick Magnet" was seen as the weak link in his tag team with John Morrison.
When Miz was drafted ECW to Raw things began to change.
He was no longer known as the disastrous in-ring competitor but the unbelievably intelligent wrestler.
His promo's are maybe the best right now and his change in attitude has really grown on the WWE Universe.
Probably the most hated guy for kids in WWE, he is an ultimate heel.
Now with the legendary Chris Jericho he will be looking to elevate himself as a main eventer now.
He came to play. He won on the day and he became AWESOME!!!
I can't wait to see what the future holds for this talented guy.
YOU— WOW WHY WOULD YOU INCLUDE HIM?
ME— HE HAS TO BE NXT WINNER.
This guy to me is a better heel than Jack Swagger, Dolph Ziggler and, you'll be shocked, Edge.
I am talking about this present moment and without this guy, NXT would not have any heel power.
Yes, there is Wade Barrett but he is a knowledgeable heel. Which I mean, he talks knowledge and won't just try and get fan heat.
Unlike Otunga here who shocked the WWE Universe when he ignored John Cena's tag.
I want Barrett to win NXT but i feel this guy has to win NXT simply because of his unique character.
David Otunga started NXT as a face guy looking for a big break and I loved him as a face but when he turned heel— Man — did we see the true character.
His promo on Raw sticks in my head like a song that is something to me that the winner of this show needs.
He needs to be memorable and not just a failed flop who won a show and is reduced to rivalries with Santino Marrella.
All I know is I will probably get a lot of stick for this choice but I feel a rivalry between Otunga and Cena really brings some style to the WWE.
I sometimes wonder what Otunga would be like if WWE was PG.
He reminds me of a heel Triple H imagine this. If Shad, Otunga and Ezekial Jackson made a team what a heel team that would be. But I wouldn't really want that to stand for long because he is stand out.
TOP HEEL NOT IN WWE MAIN SHOWS. DAVID OTUNGA.
The most vicious heel in WWE right now Drew a Scotchman by trade has really brought it to Smackdown on numerous occasions.
Has a moveset, Entrance and attire that elevates him as not only a 23rd century superstar but as a pure technical athlete.
At times he seems deranged slamming the likes of Matt Hardy into steel steps.
The Scot who started up in FCW became Champion of FCW and tag team champion in which fans could see something special was happening with this guy.
To me I think Jack Swagger shouldn't have been pushed and instead this guy should have been given the World Heavyweight Title.
However, Recently Drew has come under controversy as websites and the media rumoring Superstars dislike working with Drew in which i think may burst his rollercoster ride of a WWE path.
The rivalry between him and Matt Hardy was very interesting and WWE makes a wrong decision to bring Kofi Kingston into it.
Then at, WWE Over The Limit, Kofi picks up the IC Title from Drew and which seemed to be the start of a new rivalry and then Hardy's music struck and Drew was shocked.
Matt hit a Twist of Fate on the youngster and proved that my odds on this rivalry breaking down were seeing red.
Probably the next Heel to get the World Heavyweight Championship, I give you fourth placed Drew Mcintyre.
Cody Rhodes friend — Randy Orton's student — Randy Orton's rival — Shadow of his Dad's character.
These are the remarkable steps this young superstar has gone through to be truly Priceless.
The superstar has risen to the top with Cody Rhodes beside his side and now he walks alone.
The son of one of the most scandalous superstars in WWE history none other than the million dollar man himself.
Ted has been given the challenge to follow in his father's footsteps and has begun this by acquiring Virgil as his manager.
Had a strong rivalry with R-Truth in roll however, he suffered a concussion which ruled him out of a possilble U.S Title win.
Instead R-Truth won the title and could this be how the rivalry will play out?
We will have to wait and see but in my opinion he is like a Young Orton in his wrestling skills.
His promos and the rest in my opinion he is the upcoming superstar on Raw that could get pushed at any point this year.
He is like The Miz in the respect that he is the better part of their old teams. With Morrison and Rhodes yet to make a real impact.
Third Place I give you, Ted DiBiase Jr., the third generation superstar with the profile of a champion!
I pledge alliance to the Straight Edge Society.
One Nation Under Punk Indivisible With Integrity And Sobriety for all.
The words that sum this man up. He is the ultimate devious heel. Reminds me of the film killer Freddy Krueger with his sadistic smile this man is the scariest heel right now.
CM Punk brought to WWE as a face a real fan favorite that had people going mad during his ventures in ECW.
Once his draft move to Raw he never looked back.
His successful WWE Career began by winning the Money in the bank match at Wrestlemania 24 and cashing in on the World Heavyweight Champion at that time Edge.
He created a fan base that had never been seen before until he once again won the briefcase and cashed it on a moment of absolute shock.
Jeff Hardy the ultimate face of Smackdown at that time had just won his first WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
That was until Punk decided to opt for gold and cashed in on a down and out Jeff picking up his second World Heavyweight Championship.
This was something the fans didn't know what to think because they're beloved Jeff had just won the title then their second rate favorite Punk cashed in on this man.
WWE kept Punk's character quiet until he lost to Jeff at Night Of Champions, and ripped in to Jeff throwing him into barricades and so on.
Punk had simply lost the plot but had he?
CM Punk remained liked and stated it as a moment of uncontrollable disappointment, but it wasn't CM Punk once again ripped into Jeff breaking the hearts of the WWE Universe and Jeff's WWE Status.
You see once Punk won the title back at Summerslam he mocked Jeff and for real life reasons removed him from the WWE completely.
Something the WWE Universe will never forget.
So, CM Punk a new guy with a new motive and began this motive by developing a compelling yet controversial rivalry with The Undertaker, in which Punk to part in another Montreal Screw job case.
He lost the title and lost his challenge as Batista grew into his new heel role and found himself going after the likes of R-Truth.
Then just before Elimination Chamber PPV he set out on Rey with a new stable named "The StraightEdge Society" these guys were to change TV forever and well people's hair forever as they got public members and shaved their hair to start a new fresh lifestyle.
Luke Gallows and Serena were the two who helped CM Punk in this new fresh rivalry which I name, "The Shave escape."
CM Punk vs Rey Mysterio the two cruiserweights at each other.
Something's gotta give and it did but it was Rey who stood victorious or did he?
Rey Mysterio was put under alert by Punk that if he lost at Wrestlemania he'd join the Straightedge Society in which he won.
CM Punk was then challenged to either win or lose his hair and yes the obvious happened CM Punk stood victorious with a new Straightedge Society member.
So, the rivalry would have its ultimate ending Rey vs Punk, Hair vs Pledge.
The winner of the match: Rey Mysterio.
However the winner of the rivalry: CM Punk.
This man is WWE's heel that is the big bucks and the biggest heel right now.
With a new sense of personality and stable this man is capable of literally anything.
Second place just losing out is CM Punk.
In 10th place — is the Ultimate Opportunist, Edge. (Would have been lower if he had his old look/Personality)
Ninth — is Y2J Chris Jericho. Still got it.
Eighth — the world heavyweight champ Jacky Swagger
Seventh — Perfection at its best Dolph Ziggler
Sixth — and with attitude its awesome Miz
Fifth — MR NXT David Otunga
Fourth — the Scottish man Drew Mcintyre
Third — The Second Million Dollar man
Second — CM Punk. I pledge alliance to that.
and Firstst the one and only...
It's written in your face, the shadows of my eyes.
THE CELTIC WARRIOR, SHEAMUS!!!
I Warned you.
Yes, the Celtic Warrior Sheamus, is the no. one heel if you ask me and maybe the ultimate superstar right now.
Probably given the biggest push ever but to me I liked it.
I liked it because of the unpredictability, I liked it because it was against John Cena.
I'm not saying this because I dislike Cena which I don't, its just what WWE have made John to be.
A man who cannot be beaten, invincible at times he just has that planted upon him.
WWE TLC saw something special the rise of a real talented guy and how this has helped WWE with other pushes.
Sheamus made his name on ECW with a small rivalry with Goldust in which he ended up losing.
Then we saw him battle an engaging rivalry with Shelton Benjamin where he excelled and then we saw him moved to Monday Night's where we saw the true potential of this massive Celtic man.
Builds from fan heat in the way of the opportunity was given to him he really is something special.
Something that does make me laugh is that Sheamus is a movie star something Batista left because he never had the opportunity.
WWE has made Sheamus who he is and for that I applaud them.
They make the man look monstrous by making him be the reason Triple H is out of action brilliant! WWE Champion, Brilliant!
No move in the WWE draft, Bad choice of the draft!
WWE draft was my night of Sheamus.
You see with all the youngsters moving to Smackdown, I saw something in that brand. Shad Gaspard, The Undertaker, The Big Show, Kane, Luke Gallows and Sheamus.
I am talking about the Super Heavyweights.
Sheamus would have been amazing on Smackdown.
Rivalries with the likes of The Undertaker, The Big Show. Teaming with Drew Mcintyre wow the potential he would have had but he is stuck in a maze of talent but I say that with the knowledge of his talent.
Please, say hello to the new Ultimate heel.
The Celtic Warrior and your No. One heel superstar in the WWE, Sheamus.
(SHEAMUS HAS WON THE 2010 HEEL OF THE MOMENT)
So, Sheamus is my No. One Heel in the WWE right now, but it doesn't end there.
My next article will highlight the tag team division! Fatal Four Way predictions and Much More!
Please Comment your views on my decision to name Sheamus the No. One heel and who else you feel I have left out of my slideshow!
