Denver Broncos: In McDaniels We Must Trust

While plenty of Broncos fans are ready to watch him go, Josh McDaniels is the head coach and there is nothing that can be done to change that fact.
Team owner Pat Bowlen must have faith in the young McDaniels or he would not have let him ship off so many marquee players in the past two years.
It seems that McDaniels is here to stay. And the sooner the fans get over that, the better.
Other than the shipping off of players, there is no reason to get all angst-ridden over McDaniels' approach to the game. After all, he came from a system that has more Super Bowls under its hat than his predecessor, Mike Shanahan. That should be a feather in his cap next to the fact that he turned Matt Cassel from a unknown backup quarterback to a hot commodity.
Sure, he runs things differently from Shanahan and change often causes fans to buckle in their support. But then are they really fans?
The calls to fire McDaniels at this point should be squelched in favor of throwing the maximum amount of faith in him. Obviously, he is making things happen.
Most experts agree that it takes three years to fully evaluate a draft class, which means that we still have some time to wait. After all, the man known as "McD" deserves some time to groom the players he has brought on board.
One of which is, of course, Tim Tebow. If McDaniels succeeds in making Tebow a winning NFL quarterback, plenty of people will be eating their words. So why not hope for the best, rather than worst?
And think for a moment what the alternative would be.
We fire McDaniels and bring in someone new?
Then they ship off a few players, bring in a few that fans won't like, and bring in a whole new system.
Teams that go through that kind of roller coaster have a hard time picking themselves back up.
Never wish a constant turnover on your team. Stability breeds championships.
It is time to rally around the man and support the players. There are bound to be flaws, but at least the Broncos are moving forward. Things had grown stale in Shanahan's last couple of seasons with the team. Now is the time to stand strong.
Broncos fans are being thrown a wild loop for sure, but once the dust settles, it will prove worthwhile.
