Doug Berry made the first big decision in the Bombers' 2008 season and decided to start backup Ryan Dinwiddie for Thursday night's matchup against the 3-1 Calgary Stampeders.

With the Bombers' record at 0-4, it was inevitable that something would be done to try and turn this season around. Whether or not this move is the right one is another story, but it's clear that things just aren't working for the Bombers so far this season.

This will be Dinwiddie's second CFL start after starting the Grey Cup game in the 2007 season for the injured Kevin Glenn. Glenn has struggled this year with a touchdown to interception ratio of two to eight.

While Glenn has not been the only problem the Bombers have had this season, Dinwiddie starting could wake up the offence which has disappeared this season, after seeming unstoppable at times last season.

There is some hope however. With 14 games left, the Bombers are still only two games back of top spot in the East.  A victory against the very impressive Calgary Stampeders is just what the Bombers need to turn around this runaway train.

They need to establish something with the loss of Barrin Simpson for the remainder of the season. Now more than ever the Bombers must step up and say, "I have to be better."

This will make for a very interesting week for the Bombers as they fight to stay alive this Thursday night.
