Tom Cable is pretty excited about his upcoming season and the Fantasy Football players are too.
It's been a while since the Raiders will feature more than one or two players on Fantasy teams. Having at least 11 losses each season and a dorment Offense has made this a challenge for the Fantasy Leagues.
Here is a list of the Potential players that will land on Fantasy Teams in 2010...
Team owners get out your pens and jot down these names...
Here we go...
We'll start with the obvious...
The Oakland Raiders Defense hasn't seen much playing time in the past in Fantasy play but things are a changin!
While keeping the most known forces in Oakland ( maybe the NFL) in Aso and Seymore, The Raiders have added some strong talent to that.
Rolando McClain is a beast! He will ensure the leadership in the MLB position and will be the defensive QB that they need.
The Line is bulked up around Seymore which will help tremendously.
Wimbley will show why he was a 1st round pick this year also.
Last but NOT least is the Michael/Mike show on Defense.
Michael Huff - Growing and showing...
Mike "the Missle" Mitchell - He will show some huge signs of growth this year!
The Raiders DST will be a top 12 team in the leagues this year!
Prediction - 8-10th Round
What?!? The Oakland Raiders will have the QB featured in Fantasy Football?
This will be the first time since Rich Gannon that Team Owners can have enough confidence in the QB that they will draft him in the fantasy League.
Jason Campbell has been getting better and better since he came into the league. He will put up over 3000 yards and 25 Touchdowns which is a huge feat for the Raiders.
He may or not be a starter in the begining of the season but with time owners will see that the Raiders can actually pass the ball, especially with a few of the other options that I will feature in this slide show.
Lets go Campbell, make us proud!
Prediction - 5-7th Round as a back-up unless someone smells sleeper....
Hello Mr. Bush!
This year will be a HUGE year for Michael Bush. With Fargas out of the line up it leaves the Raiders to rely on Bush and McFadden.
Bush will be the bruiser of the team. He will get 20+ carries a game and with his huge YPC he will be looking at 100+ yards every game.
Michael Bush was a steal for the raiders when they grabbed him in 2007. Coming off an injury that left most teams weary about him, Oakland made the gamble. This year that Gamble will pay off...BIG TIME.
You will see Michael Bush on most every team in Fantasy this year and starting on a majority of those teams also.
Prediction: 2-4th Round
The Raiders have a huge opportunity this year with the Bush / McFadden show that they should showcase.
Darren McFadden has been a huge dissapointment to the NFL since he was drafted in the first round in 2008. Injury has played a huge roll in that.
This is McFadden's year to "Make or Break"!
No More J-Russ to blame so the eyes will be looking for another person to exile if the Raiders don't make some progress.
I think that McFadden ( If Healthy) will show the world what he is made of this year! He has the speed, hands, and feet to do so. He will be the nail in the coffin for teams after taking a beating from Bush.
McFadden will amass yards from the ground, air, and maybe throw a touchdown this year. Grab him for a solid Back-up and maybe someone that vlimbs up in your roster quickly.
Prediction - 5-7th Round
Now this guy is just a GEM!
Zach Miller has already solidified his placement with the Raiders.
With J. Campbell throwing the ball it will just increase Miller's Value. Everyone knows that Campbell loves to toss to tight ends and what a tight end to have in Miller.
Miller will prob pull down 50-60 catches and will try to gain his 1st 1000 yard season. Oh did I mention the Red Zone with Campbell and Miller... 8-10 Touchdowns are in the sights!
Zach Miller will be in every league this year and will start in everyone also. Miller is quickly becoming one of the best TE's in the League.
Prediction - 4-6th Round ( One of the first TE's taken this year though)
Here will be the bread and butter of the WR corp in Oakland. As long as he stays healthy!
This guy is a stud! He can jump, run, catch, and isnt afraid of going after the ball anywhere on the field.
Chaz showes amazing capabilities when he is on the field and the plan this year is to keep him there all season long.
Chaz in the biggest rec on the Oakland Squad and Campbell should have a hay day with him. If Healthy look for Chaz to break the 1000 yard mark this year and put up about 12-13 Touchdowns!
Prediction - 3-5th Round if healthy going into the pre-season otherwise he will drop to around 7-8th.
1st off we should have our Cheerleaders in Fantasy, they would go 1st round! :)
This year there might be a few sleepers, sneakers, or whatever you want to call them get into teams in Fantasy... When the year starts to roll and the Raiders do what they look like they can do on paper, you will see some of these guys start getting nabbed off of the waiver wires.
-Louis Murphy, this guy has a huge upside...
-DHB, if he starts catching...watch out cause he is FAST!
-Sea-Bass- If the Raiders score like they should with this revamped Offense the Sea Bass will be snatched right away. He is a good kicker, just needs the O to help put him in position!
