Bobby Cox is perhaps the greatest manager of his era. How will the Atlanta Braves ever replace him? In my opinion the Braves need to find a guy just like Bobby. A guy who instantly commands respect and will not tolerate nonsense.

The guy who instantly pops into my mind is Freddi Gonzalez. His recent incident with superstar Hanley Ramirez shows he will not tolerate anything. He is a Bobby Cox disciple and would step in with immediate respect from everyone.

Another guy is Terry Pendelton. He has done a fine job as the Atlanta Braves hitting coach he has for a long time been on Bobby's staff. He knows the way. He has the respect of the team, and wouldnt be a serious drop off.

Both guys are great coaches, but there are many other canidates. I just see them as the favorites
