I think we've all said things in the past that have come back to haunt us. Most of us get away with some friendly abuse from our friends or family, but I don't think the "Special One" Jose Mourinho is going to get off that lightly!

A video was released by the Catalan media today in which Jose Mourinho, who is set to be announced as Real Madrid's new manager in the next few days, proclaims his eternal love for "los blancos" bitter rivals, Barcelona.

Mourinho, a translator at Barcelona at the time, was filmed after the Catalans 1997 Copa Del Rey triumph saying to all the cules (Barcelona fans) and the watching press "Today, tomorrow and always—I will have Barcelona in my heart."

Okay, it was thirteen years ago, but it's sure to be brought up when Mourinho is unveiled as the new Real Madrid boss.

It will be interesting to see what the already sceptical Real Madrid fans think of the video.

The polls in the Madrid based press show only 54 percent of the Madrid fans are in favour of Mourinho's appointment and it'll be interesting to see the updated polls following the release of this sensational video.

So in conclusion. If you're going to make a passionate proclamation—make sure there's no video or audio evidence. These kind of statements have a way of coming back to bite you in the backside.
